Our animal rescue is in dire need of pet food donations. A non-profit group apparently sued Walmart for receiving tainted pet food donations, so now the corporation isn't giving food to anyone in that field. Walmart happened to be our biggest supplier of food for the 25+ dogs and 50+ cats in the rescue's care. It is my job to come up with a letter to pet food manufacturers/distributors - to see if any of them will donate to us. I'll post what I've got so far in a Spoiler (some of it was copied from a thank-you letter that one of my associates wrote), any and all suggestions, critiques, whatever would be appreciated
Bear Back
Bear is back at the rescue farm for a bit. He's spent the last seven months as my foster-dog, but due to stress concerns he's gone to the farm - they'll have their vet look at him, see if there is any underlying medical cause to his freak-outs. The two theories are 1) he's "too attached" to me; or 2) he's going blind and he's too attached to me. You might not think that'd be a serious concern, but he gets so worked up that even I can't calm him down - and this is just when I leave his line of sight (going pee, going into another room), don't even get me started on me leaving the house without him.
I'm sad. I miss him. My house feels much bigger than it usually does. Hopefully Bear will be coming back to me in the first week of May, if everything checks out at the vet.
Proubles
On another pet note, my cat had a really bad seizure this evening. Again, she was just resting and started convulsing and spitting and panting with her tail all puffed up. She peed all over herself this time, too. I've checked and her food was not one of the recalled brands, even though her seizures could be a sign of kidney failure.
I don't know what to do. The rescue has offered to send her to their vet, but that doctor tries to save every animal that comes in - no matter the cost. I could see a bill in the thousands. One vet's office quoted me in the $200's just to diagnose the problem - and that's if it was something "easy" like kidney stones.

I would feel horrible if I had to give my cat up because I couldn't afford to pay her medical bills. I work in animal rescue, and I know the burden just one pet puts on a shelter.
Sorry guys, this post is pretty whiny and pet-ish. I just don't have anything better to write about at 3am on a Tuesday morning.
hope u don,t mind me crashing your blog
