Spoiled
I'm officially spoiled. I am typing on a family member's wireless notebook.... omg, I'm in love with this thing. I'm used to dial-up, on an older comp.
Today was a great day, I had a big breakfast - all fruit, kiwis, oranges, apples, and some bananas (am I lame because I needed to sing that Gwen Stefani song to remember how to spell that last one?), then I got to go the pool and splash around for a bit (I wore a skimpy-ish two piece, something I haven't done for a loooooong time - that felt awesome), and then I was given a delightful cafe mocha. Noice. In the afternoon, after I dropped my mom off for physiotherapy, a cousin and her son came for a wee visit, it was nice to catch up with her. We're planning a "game night" to play some Cranium
I could have sworn she said that if my sisters come to said game night that they'd better "smoke us up." I'm not 100% that that's what she said, but I'm pretty sure that's what I heard.... hmmm. This from the cousin (whom I used to share a house with) who left the house when she smelled pot smoke from my portion of the house - and it was really just a cigar, honest.
Speaking of my sisters, I so far have seen three of them: one on my first day in town, and two others just a couple nights ago. I met my two sisters at a restaurant for appy's - they're the ones closest in age to me.... 21 & 20. They brought their boyfriends, so I felt a little like a fifth wheel, but it was still awesome to meet up with all of them and hear about the past year. Oddly, my two sisters also have fellas in the trades, interesting.
So far this has been a good trip. I've visited with some family members that I haven't seen in so incredibly long - wonderful. I mean, I miss home and the comforts that come along with it very much, but seeing everyone is great... really great.
Know what else is great? My grandmother is kind of a packrat and kept this gorgeous little slip dress that my mom made for me to wear to my cousin's wedding - when I was eighteen - anyway, she asked me if I still wanted it, my mom suggested that I try it on, I did, and IT FIT. I couldn't believe it. Me. It fit me. Me, a girl who got up and over the big two not so long ago. Amazing. A very special person told me how proud they were of me.... which was equally awesome.
EDITED to say: Alas, there will be no new pics until after I return home in mid-February; I didn't bring my usb cord or software or anything. I've taken about 150 pics so far.
