Okay, they're up, for those of you who have not seen them yet. The naughty ones are in the Marvel album, and I've also added some misc. pics I took on the trip in two different albums.
Back to the Farm
Oh my. What a freakin day. I'll say first that it was all my fault, the way everything turned out - me and my stupidity, and no one else's. I left this morning after breakfast (around 10am, I let myself sleep in because of yesterday's journey), and on the highway my oil light goes on. Feeling bad for my poor old car I take a detour (added about 10km onto my trip) and fill up my gas tank and top up my oil. I had my car tuned up awhile back, but all this driving lately was prolly what upset it. So, long story short, my trip got off to a rather late start.
Then, an hour and a half later, I arrive at the farm. And *no-one* is there. I check out back to see if somebody is working with some of the larger animals - no dice. So I drive into a nearby town (use the bathroom at a gas station) and phone the farm, hoping I'll get somebody. Nope. I picked up some snacks, realizing that I might be in for a wait, and go back to the farm. I wait. And I wait and I wait some more. I was there about two and a half hours. I didn't just sit though, there were a few dogs in the front yard, so I went in the gate and played fetch with them for quite some time.
Eventually, I got Bear and R-Dog into the car. R-Dog was so excited to see me that he did this to my neck & chest:

I think some of the badass dogs on the farm probably told him that he no longer had a home, so when he saw me again he couldn't help himself. Both of the dogs smelled like farm (hay, manure, miscellanious outdoor smells), but I could tell that R-Dog had perfected the "poo roll" - I don't get why he enjoys rolling in manure, but every chance he gets, he goes in shoulder first. Gross.
An hour and a half LATER, I roll into the driveway. Nobody else is home, so I go to work bathing my smelly stinky dogs. I took Bear outside and brushed him, then got into the tub with him and scrubbed him down with strawberry shampoo. I tried to blowdry Bear's fur, but he wasn't having it - all growly at the blowdrier. LoL. Then it was R-Dog's turn. I had to scrub my bathroom so much afterward - my tub was literally black. I've lit some scented candles, and done a ton of vaccuming, so my house smells less doggy and more girly. Hooray.
And now... I have naked naked....
Anyway, it turns out the rescue had called me once last night, and once this morning, letting me know that nobody was going to be home. See, I missed both messages because I was on the computer last night and again this morning - darn dial up. The kicker? They offered to *drop the dogs off* at my house. Ugh, what a day. I'm happy to be home now, finally.
Good T.V
I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with the t.v line-up this season. Sunday we've got Simpsons & Family Guy, Monday there's Prison Break* and Heroes (which I am loving), Wednesday there's Lost (kind of a weak season opener, but my hopes are high), Thursday is my favourite night because of the Office and My Name Is Earl, Friday is Supernatural night (I like this show, though I am often distracted by the way-too-white teeth thing...) and Saturday, well, I live for Battlestar Galactica
Plus, Adult Swim has got me hooked. Good t.v. Me go watch now.
* a side note, we're no longer having "Prison Break Night" at my house
I used to cook huge meals and have a bunch of friends over, but lame circumstances have caused this to cease. Lame ass lame.
