I did not save the world today. I didn't even take the dogs for a walk. Ever get the feeling that you're not making an impact?
Weird Al is not nearly around enough when I need him, but he came through tonight. "White and Nerdy" - golden.
SNL was pretty disappointing this evening. I was really amped, because Dane Cook was hosting ("me and my lead singer" or "Waffle Man!" - also golden in my book). But with no Tina Fey, no Rachel Dratch, and the kicker, no Parnell, it was just.... Sad. I also get the I'm-the-new-Jimmy-Fallon vibe from Seth Myers doing Weekend Update. I don't think it's just me - this time, anyway.
Still don't know what I'm gonna be for Hallowe'en. I was totally going to do Little Red Riding Hood, and take Bear as my Big Bad Wolf*, but a friend's kid kinda had the same idea. And I can't be sexy-red-riding-hood next to cutesy-red-riding-hood, it'd just be wrong. For the party last year I went as a zombie cheerleader, and on the big night I was the tooth fairy... I'd like to do something totally wild and different this year. I think I might have mentioned that I saw a *wicked* Bat Girl costume around, but it was a size two. I haven't been a size two since I was about 11 years old.
Speaking of Bear (kinda), he has taught himself to lift the toilet lid & seat (both are closed when not in use at my house) to get at the delicious toilet water. I wondered what the banging noise was in the bathroom. What bothers me about it, is that this has been going on for at least a couple of days now, and he always comes to snuggle after he's had a drink. I think I need to go shower. A lot.
Thanks for reading, everybody. And thanks to Tilpacer, I know mathmatically just how much I should value your time & comments
((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) for everyone!
And even though she may not get blogged about very often, I still loves me Emmy cat.
* normally, I would not take a dog out on Hallowe'en night - due to commotion, excitement and fireworks, but because of Bear's extreme sparation anxiety, I think he would be worse off in the house. He'll freak out anyone that comes to the door with his big-dog-bark.
