Whiskers on Kittens
There have been some interesting developments in the Backyard Kitten story. My neighbour was over last night and I gave him the SNAP (Spay & Neuter Assistance Program). Poor Baby Kitty was out all last night in the rain
I told my neighbour that I'd go over and play with her during the day in his backyard (I'm concerned about it going wild eventually) - I couldn't find her anywhere. I was over three times at different points in the day and she was nowhere to be found. Part of me hoped that someone found her and took her home (at least then she could be indoors, some of the time, at least).
So I'm calling and calling for Baby Kitty, asking kids passing by if they had seen her. A lady from across the way caught my attention and asked if I was looking for a kitten, a little stripey one. I told her that sounded like the one I had misplaced. She told me that coming home from her late shift last night, she found the kitten in the alley between our houses crying. She took her in and fed her, kept her dry. The lady mentioned that she had heard the kitten mewing the previous night as well, but couldn't find her in the dark. At first, I think she assumed that Baby Kitty was mine, and I kinda got the how-could-you-do-that-to-a-helpless-baby-kitty vibe.
She went on to tell me that today her granddaughter found the kitten out again today - in the rain, again - and had brought it back into their house. She said they were playing with it at the mo. She wanted to know if she could keep it, and I explained that she wasn't mine to give away. I told her that I would speak to my neighbour and let him know the sitch, see what he says. I really really hope he lets her keep Baby Kitty, she'd be soooo much better off. The lady neighbour already has a very friendly cat that I see all the time, so I'm sure she'd have a loving home to offer.

I joined this group today. Yay for redheads! I don't have that lovely pale skin though... I'm all freckles.
Pooh Bear
While picking up a friend's kiddo from school (I do this a couple of days a week), Bear decides to drop a huge bomb, right in the middle of the sidewalk in front of the school. Being so old, Bear can't always keep it in, so when he's gotta go, he's gotta go. It was pretty gross, because it was crowded there, and of course, I had no bag with me (and that's insane, because I carry poopy-scoopy bags in my purse 98% of the time, even when the dogs aren't with me). Fortunately for me, a litter-bug had left a sandwich bag on the sidewalk and I used that. All the way home, my friend's kid is calling him Stinky Pooh Bear, lol.

If your a nerd (like me) you will also be happy about this as well. I dont know if Heath Ledger is appropriate for this part....
