Are you familiar with those apple slicer thing-a-ma-bobs? It's a circle shape that you place over an apple, and with it's blades, cuts the apple into sections. Real time-saver, I love it. Well, I loved it. Until today. While slicing an apple (I like to have an apple for lunch, with ricotta cheese and cinnamon on it - mmm mmm), the fingernail on my left thumb got caught in the blade, slicing the nail and part of the thumb vertically. The ow is pretty superficial, but oh, it looks icky. And it hurts. The sensitive pinky skin under the nail was sliced too. Ouch. Needless to say, I did not enjoy my lunch very much. I consoled myself with some potato chips and a nap.
