AUDIOSCROBBLER MEMBERS! Could you go here and vote yes for the picture on the bottom and no for the other two? I actually submitted both the middle and bottom photos (sort of) but I want the bottom one to win. I say "sort of submitted" because they took the second photo directly from her Wikipedia article, and I'm the one who put that photo in her article.

Hell, you could join just to vote, it's free. DOOOOOOO ITTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate all of your advice re: my Annie-burnout (as TenementFunster aptly called it). Apparently I'm feeling much better about Annie today than I was yesterday. Maybe it was just that the other day was so awful that I started hating EVERYTHING. I was really down in the dumps that one day, everything was going wrong. I still think there is a little burnout going on and I should still step back a bit. But maybe it's not so bad as I thought.

As long as I don't end up having to take down my poster, change my profile pic, remove the fantasy I wrote, and so on, I'll be happy.

The city of Bethesda is WEIRD. People there are nuts. I was driving home from a family function just now and there was a dude riding down the sidewalk on a Segway. You know, those two-wheeled motorized contraptions that you can stand on and ride like a sort of scooter. That's WEIRD.

The family function was... eh. My family is nuts. It's my uncle's 50th b-day and we had a dinner. I'm a vegetarian, and my mom has decided to embrace vegetarianism recently, and for the main course there were these enormous steaks. Mom said "mmm those look good" but she didn't fall off the wagon. See, she's a vegetarian partly because so is her beloved Morrissey.

Her story is she was at the buffet at the lunch place at her work, and there was a tub full of chicken breasts. Mom thought to herself "hey, those chickens could be walking around pecking the earth right now" and decided to swear off meat again. She tried once before, I forget when she fell off the wagon or why.

Anyway my aunt and uncle (different uncle) and cousin from NY are down to visit. They're crazy too. Apparently my cousin, who I think is less than 10 years old, listens to Annie. My uncle is a rabbi/cantor/voice coach, and (don't get excited he's not coaching Annie) one of his voice students brought Annie's CD for my cousin. My aunt is sick of hearing it.

I mentioned the Sound of Music singalong thing to my other aunt and she strongly urged me to go. She told me all about it. Sounds a little too crazy and intense for me, but I do like the audience participation idea. I hear people give the characters advice as they do their thing onscreen. "Don't do it Maria!" "Use the curtains Maria!" And they hiss whenever that awful Baroness Schroeder comes on screen mad mad mad

Maybe I'd get into it. But really, it sounds insane.

I've been absorbed in Zelda Wind Waker lately. Game talk follows.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I had to change something in my walkthrough because I realized if you're going for the gallery it makes much more sense to pictograph all the Koroks when they're still in the Forest Haven, rather than hunting them all down at the respective islands to which they float after you beat the dungeon. Unfortunately I didn't fix that part when I was playing it, so now there's one Korok out of the 8 that I can't account for. I don't remember where it was standing.

There are the three chillin' near the Deku Tree, there's one on a branch reached by hopping into the buds, there's the one on the platform with the arrow-shaped grass, then the one outside on the ledge and the one on the little island with the cyclone going around. Where's the other one? And Makar is not included in those 8. Nor is Hollo the potion maker. But there are definitely 8. Which one am I missing?

One thing I don't get in Zelda Minish Cap (to switch gears) is why Ezlo couldn't understand the Minish language in the Minish Village. He's a Minish himself! And why does he speak human language? Yeah yeah, it's just a game... but I'm nitpicking.

I really don't have much to say today to be honest! For those of you who enjoy when I get really long-winded, sorry to disappoint!

The cost of being obsessive about something is the rist of burnout. I can't think of how many awesome things I've loved to death. frown The strong survive, though. smile

Do you think your mom is going to want the Morrissey vids still? Not that I have any other real uses for them (they're pretty good; I'm just tryin to keep my belongings minimal).
