Happy New Year, and Happy New Beginnings to everyone! Hope 2017 will surprise us all on the upside. For me, the new year is starting on a positive note... after half a year of frustrating job search, I'll be starting in a new job a few days from now.
Happy as I am about that, I'm also a little ambivalent about it... on the plus side, I'll be working as a psychologist for the first time, which is exciting. On the minus side, I'll be working as a psychologist for the first time*, which is...a little scary, to be honest. Also on the minus side, the pay is pretty underwhelming, and for now I only have a 6-month contract. But, it's a start.
SG will probably be relegated to low priority, so I won't be on as much as I used to or as much as I'd like. But I'll try to keep up!
*somewhat ironically, I'll be psychologically advising and coaching the long-term unemployed...
