Or, tempus fugit, as the Latins of old used to say. As one of the more senescent SG members, I have a keen sense of time passing more quickly than it used to - I can't believe that April is just around the corner!

I haven't been all that active on here, just following my faves and trying to keep abreast (hah!) of new...

Keep us posted on the up and coming adventures. I'm glad to see I still know a few people around here that still post. xoxox

Must have hit the wrong key. Enjoy your travels.

Just throwing out here that one of my all-time fave songs is the classic "La Mer", both in the original French as sung by chansonnier Charles Trenet, as well as in the swinging English version "Beyond the sea" by Bobby Darin. It's just a lovely melody that can be melancholy or uplifting, as the situation requires.

This always makes me think of the show Lost

@zakris is super sweet and adorable, a Siberian beauty that will melt anyone's heart. Her set BLUE SHINE deserves a whole lot more love, even if it isn't for those who look for explicitness first and foremost.

In case you missed the happy news, @raisie is pink on account of her first set making Front Page.

raisie:
awwww thank you very much for the suppor!!!!

Congratulations are in order.

Just my luck that the sets from my fave SGs always seem to drop in the middle of the night (here in Germany, that is). So it is yet again that I'll sleep thru the first few hours that the highly anticipated (by me) new set from the queen @drave All her recent sets have been super hot, so I expect no less from...

The disadvantage of a 24 hour cycle. Love it when you can.

...is @saturn ,duh! How gloriously beautiful is her new set LUCID, shot in France last year by @mel_z ?

ferkixlll:
Cue the Holst.

Too bad I'll be fast asleep when the new set by glamorous and angelic @wonka hits, but I'll be very happy to wake up to it tomorrow morning... and I just noticed her debut set is stuck at 4,999 likes, so can't someone be #5,000 ?

Wow

I never need an excuse to check up on @adriella (I hope she doesn't mind my posting a lovely older image of hers from Instagram), but these days I keep checking if her debut set NO RUSH has topped 5K likes yet... it's getting very close! So, if there's anyone reading this who hasn't dropped a "like" on that wonderful set...

...aaaaand it's done! And on the same day @adriella has another scorcher of a set in member review, too!

I know I'm out of the loop on much that goes on here, but anyone care to update me on why @leetattar (apparently) left the site? Just as I was about to shower praise on her lovely new set, I noted that her SG tenure is listed as "SG from 2017 - 2018"

As she was a real asset to the site, as a photographer...

@chef, sadly that's been a thing here off and on. I know she has her own URLs elsewhere, hopefully she's doing well on those, but losing part of the community always sucks.

Based purely on physical beauty, @leetattar was one of my very favorite SGs, and her sets were always so interesting, unique and creative. And, @marisabel was certainly no slouch, either; her sets were getting progressively better each time. It was hard to tell who was the guilty party, or maybe the guiltier party. SG probably did the only thing they could by booting both, but I miss them...

From the pages of The New Yorker (current issue, Jan. 14), a notable poem by the great Terrance Hayes:

American Sonnet For The New Year

things got terribly ugly incredibly quickly

things got ugly embarrassingly quickly

actually things got ugly unbelievably quickly

honestly things got ugly seemingly infrequently

initially things got ugly ironically usually

awfully carefully things got ugly unsuccessfully

occasionally things got ugly mostly...

Just glanced at it before I turned on the Tablet. An accurate summation.

Don't get me started on pet peeves - I get annoyed at so much stuff that I sometimes fear I'm turning into a crotchety old get-off-my-lawn type. Not likely, because I bottle up my peeve rage inside, where it belongs and doesn't litter the streets.

And, speaking of litter (see what I did there?), THAT happens to be a pet peeve of mine...

The glass bottles probably are a Berlin specialty because our beer drinkers are not as discerning. Hence the cans by the roadside. I found the litter collection to be less aggravating when I did it with a friend, then it became fun.

Several years back when my daughter and I had our last adventure. She got a desk sign: I Don't Have Pet Peeves, There's Whole Kennels Of Irritations. *** Picking up the trash people throw out of their car onto my front yard, yeah I hear you.
