Excuse my ranting,but for some reason a thing or two that occasionally mar my SG enjoyment are on my mind tonight... 1) You know, I do try to make some fun, interesting, and yes, sometimes irreverent comments, because it bores me to always go like "you're so gorgeous" "you're so sexy" etc. etc. But, except for a very few times, I hardly ever get any reaction at all, it's like throwing a stone into a really deep well. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to try and be funny :-( 2) I realize SG is not a place for political or sociological discourse, and there is a reason why the SG Conservatives or SG Libertarian groups number in the low single digits, but I'm bothered by the blithe assumption that most everyone on here shares a progressive/liberal bias. And 3), well, SG tends to make me feel old...most folks on here are so young, they don't feel the discrepancy; they are young and ergo they feel young, but even if I feel young (or young-ish...at least part of the time) I'm painfully aware that I could be a Dad to even the "older" SGs on here, which gives my time spent on here a tinge of, ummm, creepiness? Oh well. Carry on, SG Land.
