ok, fuck posting on the boards.
why is it that people, even smart people, read something that they don't like, and rather than think about it, or present arguments against it, they prefer to simply make ad hominem attacks and dismiss it offhand? one thread in particular - someone made an interesing point, and for 4 pages, people bitched, rambled off topic about other (vaguely relevant) things - though that didn't bug me as much - the point is, there were only 4 or 5 comments that actually considered the topic. so fucking weak. it's like watching a bunch of monkeys trying to operate a computer by throwing rocks at it.
