Uh oh... future think....
So, I know what I'm doing in 8 months. I'm going back to Portland, do the "independent living" thing for a while. I already pretty much have a job guaranteed should I require it, at BizEats. That, coupled with this sushi offer puts me in a fairly comfortable position for jobs and stuff. I also want to go to Autobody/mechanic school at PCC. This poses a small problem: I don't want to spread myself so thing that I can't do anything, so I might work Bizeats 4 days a week (it seems like it's picking up now, so that might be all that is required). Sushi for 2 or 3 days a week, and I could do that. That'd leave some time for other activities, like hanging out with friends, and the like.
So, then, the next question is... where would I want to live? NW-downtown Portland is nice, but parking sucks and it's a little expensive. I don't really want to go back to the suburbs (either Hillsboro, Beaverton, or on the east-side, Gresham or Clackamas). This leaves SW, SE, and NE Portland. NE doesn't really appeal to me that much, it just doesn't do it for me. SW is ok, but the streets are the most convoluted thing since a Windows EULA. So, SE it is, that's my first choice. I'm thinking somewhere around 40th and Hawthorne, somewhere around there. within 15 blocks. That's a worthy goal. I've realized that it'd be farther from my jobs, but whatever, that's just a small price to pay for it.
But, what about after that? What do I do for grad-school? Where do I go? Michigan? Boston? Back here? I don't know. I'll figure something out. At least I don't have to take the Physics GRE.

What made you decide to come back to Portland? I'm quite curious. Sounds like you've got mostly everything figured out. Jobs, living situation. Two most important aspects of life. Oh, and college. Take care and good luck.

I've never been to Portland- one day though! Wish I knew of some good places. YOu seem pretty busy! School=yucky poopoo...( I know-I 'm in school too) Hehe.. I'm gonna have fun alright! WET UNDIES contest tomarrow night!!!!!!!!!
