Today was long. I was originally thinking it'd be a 4 hour day or so, but then it just got longer and longer. I worked for three hours or so on painting the trim on this house, and then we had to wait for that coat to dry (stupid light colors on top of darks), and second coat it. So, I was there until 4:45 or so (from 9am) painting.
I took a break while the paint was drying (no point in watching it
) and I went to see who I could find in the SW Portland area. Melissa wasn't at work, I couldn't tell if Sianna was working, so I turned around to see if Sianna's husband was working over in the West Hills, and he was, so I talked to him a bit. I felt kind of out-of-place in my drabby paint clothes in this swank-looking Starbucks. Oh well. I read the paper and killed some time.
On the way home, I was going through Portland and saw Venice over by PSU on the sidewalk, and then not 15 seconds later, I saw Melissa drive by in her LTD, it was the weirdest coincidence.
I finished the painting job, but not before my other job could call me in for work that night. I went there, picked up my supplies, in the intent of going home and showering before making deliveries. Nope, that didn't happen. Fortunately I had a clean shirt in my car, so that was better than nothing.
13 hours later, I'm exhausted, but it was worth it.
