well, its 9 AM and I'm awake. not too bad except for 2 things:
1. I went to bed around 5 AM
2. I work until 2 AM tonight.
so I'm going to write this blog and hopefully go back to sleep. yeah, I woke up because I ate a chocolate cream pie. yeah, bad for me (food allergies and all)...but it does taste oh...

well, I found out more interesting things about the Rochester job market.
on Sunday, a new Wegmans store opened. about $20 million in building the new store. Wegmans is moving away from a small scale store style (which the founder of the company used) to a large scale "supermarket" style store. which might be good. however, since people do like the small store feel, I...

I didn't expect you to see any rust either
They probably just want to make some of their warranty money back
well, no news on the job search front. no phone call from York. which, by the way, has 2 jobs posted.
an art teacher for the elementary school and the 9-12 Guidance Counselor. so this makes me wonder.
are they just slow in getting things done?
are they slow in pulling a posting down after its been filled?
what's up with that?
so Monday, I...

I still think your stepfather is making money from a kickback on the deals he gets from his buddy
bender99:
I have always found that getting parts from NAPA was cheaper than getting parts from the dealer. I think Tunnel is right your step dad is getting kickbacks
well, got a lot out with my last post (just so people know, one of the ways I get things out is to write. since I pretty much have no one to talk to here in real life, that's my way of venting. and yes, it has been building).
so still job searching. this area seriously sucks. for those who are wondering why, well, let's...

slyderule:
well, I'm still hoping for you.
well, another week has gone by. one week of working the overnight shifts basically. since its really great for messing up my already somewhat screwed up sleep schedule, its doing a doozy on me now. and since my other shifts are late night cashier shifts (9 PM to 2 AM), yeah, I'm screwed.
big rant, you were warned!
add to that the stress of trying...

All I can say is hang in there, I know it doesn't help much but what ither choice do we have?
bender99:
Any news yet? I haven't heard anything yet, I think I am going to start applying to tutoring agencies.
well, another weekend here...which means another weekend of overnight shifts! three actually. next Saturday is a family birthday party (for Connor who we call "The Moose") for my cousin's one year old son. seriously, what do you buy a one year old boy with 2 older brothers who happens to weigh in around 25 lbs.? yes, he's one, he's 25 lbs. he's 10 lbs. lighter...

I answer the door wearing nothing but a towel and invite them in
well, that last blog post was kind of discombobulated, but then again, given the amount of sleep (or lack there of) I had when I wrote it, I'm not surprised.
but still...damn, a girl coming in with her nipples poking through her shirt and the aureoles visible (partially) through her shirt...not a bad thing to see at work.
so another job posting. one posted on...

My land borders National Forest on 2 sides. There is plenty of wood, its the time it takes to cut it.

at least ya have the reference. shit how big was the class size, if only 2 have jobs? man that sucks.
well, I just finished four days straight on overnight shifts. while sometimes fun (and posting some outrageous numbers...more on this later), fours days is enough. time for sleep and watch some Eureka tonight and visit all my peeps that I haven't "talked to" in over 4 days in chat! seriously!
so what has been fun? well, last night, a girl came in with a friend...

things are good here. glad your doing well. hope its a decent prize they give you.

we have missed you in chat! I hope you hear something from this school. I applied to a couple more today, but they still haven't hired for the other positions I applied for.
wow, thanks for all the kind words everyone from my last blog. one of the things about me is that I tend to write when I'm upset or unhappy. as if by writing I get the words out that I can not normally express out loud. that and there seems to be a tremendous lack of people around me that will listen. guess that's one...

Good luck with the new job posting! Every day when I am waiting for a phone call, I am always wondering if you have heard anything yet.
slyderule:
Definitely wishing you luck.
well, another week gone by, no jobs. I finally got "the letter". joy.
worked outside today, 8 hours pushing carts. considering that I worked for about 4 hours on Wednesday (until 11 PM), and then was back at 7:30 AM...yeah, maybe 5 1/2 hours of sleep (20 minute drive home...got to sleep around midnight, back up by 5:45 AM, and I don't sleep too good...

Got one. Found a dealer in Kane PA. Its a Central, they are very efficient but don't have an ash pan.
$6000 for the boiler, I'll have another $1000 in hardware to hook it up. I won't get it till November so lets hope winter is late.

I am really ok with the idea of not dating her anymore and just being friends, like I said we have fun but the more time I spend with her the more I think we aren't necessarily meant to be more than friends.
mental note don't blog when you have no sleep....it sounds bitchy.
so i got "the letter" today from Rush-Henrietta. its a funny form letter...here's why:
phrases like "many highly qualified candidates applied" when in fact the position might have been posted in the Rush-Henrietta Penny Saver only.
the signature.....it looks like someone blew up the person's jpeg image of a signature....badly. yes, highly pixelated. seriously...

that blows. Having trouble getting my certificate
Running out of time. Poop!
well, as of Tuesday, no phone call. so I'm guessing the job I did good on the interview with (hey, when you're asked questions like why you are interested in advising certain groups, compare the 2 Masters degree programs you've been in, and what 2 different programs you've used are like), one would think that things went well. yet here I sit.
oh well...there are...

Oh god, I'd hate having a camera shoved in my face if I wasn't mentally prepared. Mind you, I hate having my picture take at anytime so I can't think why I asked for the session for my birthday. Probably turning 40 made me think of my mortality.....erm...probably not.
Snap!!!! I injured myself playing badminton too. I dislocated my knee and spent 6 weeks in a leg cast, it was hell and I've not played the game since.
What did you do to yourself?
