well, another week gone by, no jobs. I finally got "the letter". joy.
worked outside today, 8 hours pushing carts. considering that I worked for about 4 hours on Wednesday (until 11 PM), and then was back at 7:30 AM...yeah, maybe 5 1/2 hours of sleep (20 minute drive home...got to sleep around midnight, back up by 5:45 AM, and I don't sleep too good normally), I seriously fell asleep today in the chair watching TV. around 8 PM.
quick nap, now my sleep schedule is definitely messed up! yay!
so next week....I work overnights Friday night through Monday night, Eureka is on Tuesday night, work 10 PM to 2 AM Wednesday (hey, gee, finally...give your fastest cashier hands down a shift!), and then overnights on the weekend again. 36 hours for a part-timer, not bad. and given how things go....I might be at 37 to 38 hours by the time I'm done with the week.
so seriously bummed about not finding a job so far. if you didn't know, I pretty much had to fight and struggle to get my Masters in School Counseling. a practicum where I got bad marks. an internship I dropped (the supervisor is convinced I suffer from depression). in front of the APEC (Academic and Performance Evaluation Committee), who suggested that, given the fact that I don't give up, I might just be fighting to get into a field I do not belong in, 2 visits to a Psychiatrist (who unofficially diagnosed me PTSD....from "a tremendous amount of loss in your life..." he seriously said that the only people he has talked to that have suffered more loss than me are war vets) and another internship, I finally did everything. not to mention all the counseling I went through. and now, fighting and clawing and scratching and jumping through hoops...and I can't find a job (or even jobs to apply to). talk about frustrating!
so thinking, might have to pick up that journal again.
and on somewhat happier notes....there is a new girl at work. really nice girl. not the prettiest (by far) or in the best shape. but so far, a great personality. we chat when we work together, stuff like that. good sense of humor. she even today took a suggestion for a good horror movie (Event Horizon). and she can help me learn sign language (she is hard of hearing....so far, she seems to be able to communicate if she can see your face). plus a lip piercing.
but also guessing about 14 or so years younger than me. but, you know what, its nice to work with people that are nice and pleasant to be around! and that you can joke with...right?

$6000 for the boiler, I'll have another $1000 in hardware to hook it up. I won't get it till November so lets hope winter is late.
