well, things are settled. I have inklings of how things progressed....quite easy to figure out. we shall see from here.

get to sub in the third different High School in the district, only one more to go and I have all four that I've subbed in. this is a coming home of sorts....I went to this school from 6th through 8th grade, the Principal there...

in other news, a co-worker might be pissed at me. I showed someone a picture she sent me (of her in a dress) to get other people's opinion about how she looked. no names mentioned, just "a co-worker who wants to know...

well, no rapture. as I said on my Facebook page, how arrogant is someone to believe they can predict God's will? I wonder if God is sitting there, seeing people predicting the end, and if the person happens to nail the time, goes "Nope....not today," and changes the day just to fuck with them. just my thought (hey, its my God, I want to believe...

so figuring things out with my car...think I'll look at changing the plugs and wires. at the very least, its something good to learn. one thing that sucks about not really having a father around (I was 9 1/2 months to the day when he left) is how I never learned things like this. I have a rudimentary understanding of cars, but now thanks to...

I go to the forums on talkbass.com quite often, and there is a weath of information to be had.
As far as the car stuff, let me know. I can send you pretty much anything repair related to your car that you need.

Next time someone mentions the rapture to me I'm using your argument. biggrin

I miss jamming with people. I'm self taught also and I think that's a good way to be cuz you aren't stuck in someone else's way of doing things.

so its turned towards the cold now....about 48 F out right now. and to make it even more fun, you add drizzle and rain. nice!

and now my car is making this weird ticking noise when its warm (and lower speeds). plus it stalled last night before going to work (turn the car on, its running then stops) and this morning when waking up. oddly...

Did you happen to check the engine oil level?
aldremech:
I will have to look into it a bit to try to get you a better direction. Even though it will still be guessing without being there to physically hear it myself. If it is a cracked wire emitting spark outside the sheath and grounding on the block you may be able to see it with a spray bottle of water. Let the engine idle and minimize any light to the engine compartment. Lightly mist the wiring area by area and look for spark jump.

so subbed today....one geometry class, one algebra class. quite an experience in opposites, too.

the geometry class (first block) was virtually comatose. it was quite tough to get anything out of them.

the algebra class (last block) was the opposite....I ended up kicking 2 kids out for disruptive behavior....always great when you page the office, they don't respond....you call and ask for security, then have...

so a girl i work with was talking to me last night about how she hooked up with a guy she met on Facebook, went on a few dates (aka, had sex with him a few times) and such. he goes to Florida, comes back and won't talk to her.

she tells me more and more....I'm starting to get that feeling. I tell her I...

Sounds like you are a wise friend to have. As for your customer, if she drops the info that she had a BF and now she's single, she's interested. Don't expect anything serious, but she definitely wants attention.
psycho_magnet:
Meh, I still think you have a shot. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, and a healthy respect for others, so I still think you can impress her if you put your mind to it.

so nice weather out today.....and 2 of the four helping hands people scheduled to work today call in sick. honestly, when its this nice of weather out (not too hot or cold, and sunny), why call in sick when you can get paid to be outside?

just my thought....now time for bed!

so anyone know why Firefox won't work right for SG chat? and how to eliminate that damn annoying ad window that slows everything down? I use Firefox, no, not the latest (full of bugs) version. seriously....just started today and its pissing me off!

that's it....rant done! might have to find a new browser....Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Firefox are all showing themselves to be equivalent POS...

so back brakes done. kind of mad at Doan Dodge. a while back, I had my brakes checked out by Monro Muffler (within the past 2 years). they told me the one wheel cylinder was starting to leak. since it was under warranty, I bought it to the dealership to be checked out (it would cost me nothing). Doan Dodge told me the wheel cylinder...

cars almost fixed...rear brake drums..

new hardware (springs and such). taking them off, one of the shoes came off the backing. so new brake shoes. then when cleaning it up....the wheel cylinders were leaking. finally the brake lines would not come off.....so new one of those (that connect to the back of the wheel cylinders).

and now for sleep and see how it runs tomorrow!

curious ... do you ever take your car in for regular maintanance, .. or do you like to just wait until it gets to the falling apart stage?
