so its turned towards the cold now....about 48 F out right now. and to make it even more fun, you add drizzle and rain. nice!
and now my car is making this weird ticking noise when its warm (and lower speeds). plus it stalled last night before going to work (turn the car on, its running then stops) and this morning when waking up. oddly enough, my mileage is still good. but still, the two combined....me wonders.
hoping its plugs and wires. had a tune-up done around 60,0000 miles, its going on 95,000 miles now. the oil is good (checked it this morning, between the min and max line...and looking good, not sludgy). considering I had the transmission work done last December, which included an engine flush, that should take care of some stuff.
so wish me luck in figuring this out....if it is the spark plugs and wires, should be easy. 4 cylinder engine....really, how hard can that be?

aldremech:
Did you happen to check the engine oil level?

I will have to look into it a bit to try to get you a better direction. Even though it will still be guessing without being there to physically hear it myself. If it is a cracked wire emitting spark outside the sheath and grounding on the block you may be able to see it with a spray bottle of water. Let the engine idle and minimize any light to the engine compartment. Lightly mist the wiring area by area and look for spark jump.
