One common false conclusion is that because someone is truthful and upright toward us he is speaking the truth. Thus the child believes his parents` judgments, the Christian believes the claims of the church's founders. Likewise, people do not want to admit that all those things which men have defended with the sacrifice of their lives and happiness in earlier centuries were nothing but errors....

I understand what you are saying but don't specifically agree with it.

However, I do feel hate is more of a burden than love. Yet, so many churches preach it.

I am with catdad. I find hate a much bigger burden. That is why I save my hate for Bush and Cheney....everyone else I love...well sorta!

Photographic Moments from the Life of Grayness

I think one of the two rabbits has taken over as official greeter of the place. He's[*] now there, often as not, waiting for me both when I am leaving in the morning, and when I get home in the evening. He has also gotten calm enough to let me open the car door and quietly take one...

My photography started out in high school, when I joined the High School newspaper staff. My father gave me his Minolta SR-T MC-II, and I bought a couple of lenses for it. When I moved on to college, I managed to save up and buy a Minolta x-700, which I wound up giving to a friend almost a decade ago, simply because I didn't use...

Thank you, darling =)

And I love this blog, that's exactly how I try to do things. Never give up, and keep your eyes peeled for the unexpected.

You got an amazing photograph out of the deal wink
catdad:
Yup. I used to keep my camera with me to and from work and sometimes if the sky was doing interesting things, I'd go for a drive with it and see if I could capture something. I did a few times.

'There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.'- Benjamin Disraeli (popularized in the US by Mark Twain)

This is kind of a silly little post, falling where it does, just a day before I write something tomorrow morning.

... at least if something pops into my head to be written. No pressure.

Anyhow, here's the break down of the distribution of...

{Further editorial notice: In honor of Saturday's children everywhere who work hard for a living, I am going to try to make this a once a week...

Ok that stuff scares me and looks SO gross....

The bunny and the rat are SO cute though biggrin I'm surprised the rat is doing so well without his tail...that would effect a lot of things like his balance and ability to jump. Interesting.

Wow...I learned a lot in your blog today smile I'm back....thanks for the comments and taking care of my appreciation thread kiss

Oh everything comes in its own special size
I guess it can be measured by where you put your eyes
It looks big when you're close
And it looks smaller back a bit
That's about the size of it.

That's about the size
Where you put your eyes
That's about the size of it.

Oh the big becomes the little
When you see it back...

When you say "mastermind of some kind" what you meant was, not "some kind" but "evil", right? tongue

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.

It seems I've fallen into a pattern of Wednesday updates. This is...

I'm a Friday. It fits. Although I was only a few minutes before Saturday which would also fit.

I appreciated your insight on group vs. individual rights. It's nice to have something to actually think about during my work day. Thank you.

In a lot of ways, life is really a forlorn hope. This is why we all need to help each other, when we can.

This is not a complaint about life. I rather like life, even with all its crazy and unfair moments. I enjoy all the mysteries of the universe, even though it means there's a great many questions to which I shall...

You words always inspire me to see past whatever darkness may be clouding my judgement at the time- your like prozac in a person. only without the harsh side affects that you see on those ads about the drug on tv... biggrin

I still miss my big orange buddy, but I'm managing. He's going to be with me where ever I go, because he helped make me from what I was 14 years ago, into what I am today. So it's about being something that's worthy of that.

I am taking his brother Claw in on Thursday for ultrasonography to image what's going on with his heart....

Screech died today.

He had had a tumor and it had led to severe anemia, and there was nothing that could be done. I stayed with him in the specialists office while he died, and talked with him and held his head in my hand so he would know he wasn't alone.

He was the best-natured being I have ever known... and the bravest. He...

So, my already somewhat overdue next blog entry is a day later than it would have been, but for good reason. smile Namely: LOE: Diggin' In The Dirt, which was a pleasant surprise last evening. Go look!

Ok, here's my news that actually relates to me-

First... my nuka-zuke is... interesting. A little too interesting. Perhaps the forces of fermenting rice bran were never meant...

So, weeding and watering the trees was alot of my today. Most of them are looking good. The sycamores (2) were hard-hit by the late frost back in early April, but they are fully recovered, new leaves to replace the ones that were lost. The apple trees (4) have been going strong since almost the beginning. The pecans (4) are still too early to tell....

Oooh! Outdoor bamboo would be neat - I wonder if it would grow up here. I live in an apartment. Guess it doesn't matter much. Repotting plants on my balcony once a year is as 'gardeny' as I get.

Glad your cats didn't escape. My pet gerbils are also good for the occasional "holy shit the little bugger almost escaped" burst of adrenaline - they've learned the joys of jumping, so whenever I take the cage lids off to feed them I can see the little wheels turning in their tiny rodent brains.

He is too about "people with money", and would have sent french soldiers in Irak if he had been the President some years ago; moreover there has never been such a severe gap between population and cops than since he has been one of our Ministers!

Dunno if you watched the debate between Royal and him, but he stated he would create something, but this had already been created by Royal some years ago, and Sarkozy had almost phased it out! He isn't honnest - though none of our candidates was honest, in my opinion...

I respect the elections' result and would never take to the streets because of this, I respect France's and democracy's choice, but I fear things could get worst for the time he'll be our President!
But the french system won't allow him to take a lot of serious decisions, unless his party gets the majority in the legislative elections, so, let's see... smile I'm less pessimistic than a lot of people though...

And you, what do you think about it? What image had been given in the American medias?
