I spent all of Sunday, and a chunk of the Monday 0-dark-hundreds working on a test/program for a prospective employer. I may- let me stress MAY- be able to get a job that requires 4 years of Java experience with just certification, and zero years experience.

I know what I sent back works *exactly* like it should- I'm just hoping I didn't unimpress them by...

I see light clouds on a dark sky, but I can see how the reverse could be true.
marvel:
I see two gaps in the clouds, and one much smaller gap that looks like a duck. And trees and a road, of course. I love looking up to the clouds and picking out shapes. As a child I used to look up at the stars and do the same... but I can't seem to tap into that level of creativity anymore.

While it is true that Discordians generally stick apart, we are also humans, who crave companionship. The Day of Discord, (the one my Cabal will be hosting, anyway), is more of an opportunity for the local freaks to discuss what projects they are doing within Discordia with fellow freaks.

I spent the time I *meant* to spend mostly writing a new entry this morning, mostly writing and rewriting my resume instead.

It's been years- pretty much a decade- since I did that. I didn't even really have to interview for the job I have now- I'd worked for them before, and with them a great deal while I was at the job I held...

I'm managing. I'm alternately very busy and bored as shit. I am very impatient. There is big change coming in my life that I feel I could prepare for better with just a little more information that I simply won't get for a little while. I'm supposed to sit down, wait, and trust now and it's nearly impossible to do. As I've been waiting for this change for over 2 years, the notion that it will finally come in the next two months in both thrilling and hard to accept. There have been close calls before and I've been let down, but now I'm closer than ever before.

While simultaneously nearly committing my father to a mental institution, there was been huge drama with friends which may really upset my social schematic. I hate it all. I didn't cause it, any of it, but I'll suffer for it regardless. Hopefully, not too terribly. Life sucks, I know.
My boyfriend almost proposed. Again. This time, the ring didn't arrive in time. Ah well.

And vacation was very nice.

All in all, I've had no proclivity or energy to post here. I am sorry my friend. kiss

I'm addicted to my camera phone. Love it! It's fun to send silly pictures and I, too, have many MANY shots of my furry feline children on my phone as well. You're right in that it won't replace your "regular" camera, but it's a fun little accessory to have. biggrin

I walked to the bridge and back this evening, just after sunset. The return part of the journey, I did, for the most part, with my eyes closed. I did this purely as an exercise, to see if I could. There was no significant danger; it's a relatively quiet road, and I can hear cars coming a long way off.

Walking over a half mile...

Thanks Grayness. I guess what bothered me is that I know that I am perfectly capable, mentally and physically, and still, I just watched the whole thing play out.

Oh well. One on the grass, one on the pavement.

I miss you.

Right now I feel like I'm wandering with my eyes closed. Hopefully I'll peek them open and get my bearings soon.

I know you understand this and it's part of why I miss you so much right now.

So, what's the next project?

Honestly, I'd *like* to play around with learning more about Java graphics, but next up are Hibernate and Spring. These are tools for linking databases into Java, and both will definitely help in the job-hunting department. I've been able to find a good (as in doesn't make my head spin) book on Hibernate, so I am working my way through...
