It's totally common for music to be played in the OR while surgery is going on. Usually it's the anesthesiologist who gets to load up the play list with whatever he/she wants. Most of the time, selections are pretty universal and benign. Nothing too noticeable, just background stuff to fill the airspace.

But seriously, did we really have to listen to the randomly interspersed lame...
