Curiouser and curiouser.
I not only begin my first SG blog, but so starts the first blog entry I have ever written. Being an art historian, I am used to writing about other people. I think about what inspires them and in what ways they express themselves to the world. It is another thing entirely to write about oneself. This being the first, there is also an undue amount of pressure involved to write something witty or profound. Instead, I begin above with a quote from Alice in Wonderland in order to express my hope for this blog and my involvement in the SG world. I see it as an exploration. I am a scholar so I like to learn. I would like to learn about you and maybe a little about myself along the way. Perhaps I can break the humility that seems to dictate my every action and acquire a little narcissism to balance the scales.
