Yup, for a couple days now. I posted and wandered around a bit on Wednesday night. It's weird not knowing 90% of the members. tongue

I love the cats with ties! That's what drew me in just now hahaha

So I got a new printer yesterday, because the one that came for $10 with my camera never worked properly (apparently this is an Epson trait!) But I am mad because the salesman told me I could buy a no questions asked return policy good for two years. I added the warranty and bought the thing, but when I took a look at the documentation...

You hit the nail on the head.

I wish. It's a New Year's Eve noisemaker. I should probably change that because it's not longer relevant, and understandably confusing. My friends don't take pictures very often.

I got a burn on my arm yesterday that will probably leave a really noticeable scar for the rest of my life. It actually didn't hurt very much but when I looked down there was a big red gash on the top of my forearm. Even though I got it while baking cookies, I will probably make up some impressive tale for when people ask...

Tell people a serial killer attacked you with a curling iron. While you were baking cookies.
_sarah_:
I always tell people I was in a bar fight.

I went to a wedding yesterday, which was marred only by the horrible things a former mutual friend (who actually introduced the couple) said on my facebook about the bride when I mentioned the ceremony in my status line. Some people, yeesh!

it is totally wedding year. i have been to four in 2008 and have one more before the year is out. Before 2008...

Ha! I wish. I was merely a bystander to that, and I think we all were. When it comes to teenage girls and vampires all you can do is feed demand and try not to lose a limb.
blue_wendy:
You said really nice things about my little figurines on my blog! That made me feel awesome.

Oh, I was in Portland this weekend for Orycon and told people what you said about the crow and the bunny fighting. A couple of people actually bought one of each after I said that. HAHAHA!

Then, I get back and find that one of the sets I shot was in Member Review!!! I am so happy. : )

Election time!

And it extremely unlikely I will be making use of the film fest this year. I will store it up for Nuit Blanche, however.
chris_sick:
I'm storing scotch for Friday's debates. But now John McCain puts America first, and my liver last.

Thanks for the compliments, we haven't caught up in forever. How're... those things... which you do?

...

Insert fake wikipedia entry about the strange conspiracies related to the intelligence activities of dholokov.

K?

Hmm, it looks like Canada will have an election announced and wrapped up, several weeks before the American one. That is a model of efficiency!
freakpirate:
Yes, but will anyone care?

...am I right in thinking I owe you a Walking With Llamas leaflet, or was that somebody else?!

Uhhh...make that more like late September, to the post previous to this. I will soon be swimming in commissioned works. I don't yet know how I feel about that. I refuse to derail my commitments made here. I prefer painting women to anything.
My first X-wife is closer to that crowd, but she tells me that Zane (Zane, Zane... ouvre le chien) [questionable Fr. spelling, but you get the reference], who's now 20, has been invited up to NY to play with Carlos Alomar and Tony Visconti. We've slipped them cd's of his work for several years because--he's every talented--and because Carlos asked to hear them. We never were pushy with that. We know an obnoxious stage mom... she's nothing short of reprehensible.
Google: Sigma Kids.. and you'll see photos of Z's mom, and stage mom. Look for you on the group.

Dr. Henry Morgantaler appointed the Order of Canada - a fine Canada Day development!

What gave you people the idea you could have a whole day?

chris_sick:
Meanwhile, dholokov celebrated Canada Day by escaping undetected from Islamabad aboard a commercial flight from New Islamabad International Airport. He purpose in Islamabad is unknown and inquires from several papers have resulted in a hail of official denials from both Pakistani and Canadian intelligence officials and spokesmen. The White House has likewise declined to comment, restating the President's position that the very existence of dholokov is speculative 'at best'.

It looks like i have lost some totally unimportant papers from work. They can easily be replaced but the replacement will be obvious so there is no way to hide that it happened. Nobody above me will care but the administrative assistant will be mean to me all day. It is not fair.
hotcurry:
As someone who spent many years as an administrative assistant. I'm now going to be mean to you. wink
chris_sick:
So this is what happened in my absence? SG gutted their community system making it really hard to check on friends and see if they're written new journals(fuck this blog, shit, I remembers when they was journals, dammit) or whatever and check up on them, make sure they're still breathing and all that happy jazz? And the end result is one paragraph or sentence updates about work being... work-like. It makes a man Sad.

And you just stood around and let this happen?

Very disappointed, me.

Thanks for the link. That was an awesome article. Particularly "We have to remember: There is nothing wrong with women writing about themselves, their youth, their indiscretions, their habits and values and personal development. Men have been writing about this stuff for thousands of years; they call it the canon."

I think it's absolutely possible for an "arch" conservative to be a rational person, just unlikely. I find that usually people who think about their political beliefs can come up with a logical reason for supporting them. It's just that (in general) our values are different than theirs. Of course, that's not to say there aren't psychotic Ayn Rand and Protocols of the Elders of Zion fuckers out there, but I haven't encountered too many of those people in real life. Just on the internets.
