obviously I need to do some backreading. I'm utterly confused about what's going on in your life right now. It sounds like I've opened up a fascinating novel, in the middle.

I know you can help me with this...and provide very different and interesting suggestions.

I didn't consider going to see The Terminal while it was out... There was a small list of movies that demanded being seen in a large screen and Hank's was placed on the 'Waiting for DVD' pile.

Sometimes decisions just are... At other times, your mind's been clearly made up, one just waits to be reminded of that. I think that luckily you find yourself between one good situation or another. Not matter the outcome, you win. I hope that you have some sedentary enjoyment in your future.

Swoo will understand. He's one of those people I think I might run into one day...it's just this feeling but I really feel like our paths might cross one day...you ever feel that way. I've often said that I never in a million years thought I'd meet...then I meet them, so why not the other way around?

I lived in Omaha while in college and have family just outside of Des Moines... The feel of impermanence I've felt their is due to everything being so new, un-ancient. There isn't any building there older than 150. Culturally, anything that lacks purpose for more than month or two seems to get paved over.

I dragged my better half to Before Sunset while it was still in the theaters here. I was a fan of the first movie and of Linklater in general. This also happened to be when you were in Paris and interspersed with my absolute enjoyment were thoughts of, "I hope Cutriver gets to see this!" Julie Delpy's Simone saunter had me giggling.

oooo ogy sludge y water with floaties in it. you might wanna get a filter or maybe one of those ufo things like on the bottom of a pool. a brain fluid sanitizer, and maybe a net for the floaties, those can be distracting. Boy, i tell ya, the last time i got a bee in my brain pool, it sucked.....

I love the cinematic talk. Restasure someone is listening. What an exciting time for you...writing in Paris. Au natural. I know you are going to kick ass. It is inevitable. SO much around you...you are golden if you are holding a pen..or a laptop for that matter.
Don't know if you are a hip hop fan but in Mos Def's latest album (1999) "Black on Both Sides" someone asks him where is hip hop going and he replies "ask yourself where are you going?" I think that is true. SO where is literature or cinematic critiqing going? Let the world know.

I'd love to get back down to a beach with a group of friends and do some fire walking & skinny dipping in the ocean, I do miss the freedom and intensity of it all.

I should really stop talking shop in these journals. Like as if anyone's actually interested, right? your right, I don't understand half the stuff you write, but I persevere haha

ok. first allow me to say that i am a height fetishist, and therefore swooning that you are 6'6". YOWZA. and as for the clothing perils that it creates, well, i know by association of what you speak -- my youngest brother is 6'5 1/2", 275, size 17 shoe (US). he is enormous. seriously, his legs are like tree trunks. the poor kid basically has to get reupholstered each season. madness.

and i am very excited for you and all your oz like prospects - that is excellent. i really don't think you can go wrong moving there. whilst i'm sure every section is different, i've truly never met an aussie i didn't at least enjoy. mostly i genuinely like them all. and ohhhh, the red clay is marvelous. i kept my hiking boots from there for years for the love of red dust. the water is the best i've ever seen too. so clear - i went swimming in the ocen in a secluded spot and was able to travel with several layers of tropical fish and a smallish shark!! it was amazing. of course, i also had to run from a sea snake at one point, which was terrifying, but cool in its own way.

and of course they want to keep you! you are clearly a bright mind. however, since misery loves company, that may not be best for you. whatever your decision, it will all work out for the best.

well, snogging dreams are always bonus ~ especially if there is levitation involved. right with you on the balloon thing, tho ... *shudders* eep.
