Ah, the fourth day of December heralds the last week of classes. Yes, that's right - only one more day of biochemistry plus the final exam. Then, I'm finished forever! What a happy girl I will be!

Holy Leaping Leaf Insects! You're doing a Ph.D. in entomology? That's absolutely amazing, bravo. I'm doing a major in bio, and have found some work on the side doing demonstrations with insects and arachnids for kids in schools and camps. Wonderful stuff. May I ask what in particular you're studying?

I study insect behavior - I'm going to work on mosquitoes for my PhD since West Nile is the "in" thing in Ohio these days. I've previously worked on beetles.
There's only one thing on my mind right now....

I wish I was going to school for photography but sadly the UC I'm attending doesn't allow transfer students to major in art (lame...) It's all good though, just allows for me to do my own work instead fo being told what to do all the time.

True, doing your own thing is very reqarding and you don't have all the rules that come along with the degree program. Getting a degree (or even taking a class) in the one thing you have passion for may reduce the passion you have for it. Speaking from experience....

I'm back from Florida. The weather was cool and un-floridalike. I wish I had more time to just sit around the beach or whirlpool and just think, but we were busy the whole time visiting places. I really, really enjoyed the Medieval Times show and dinner. That was definitely worth the money it cost to go.
