I AM MOVING TO PORTLAND WEDNESDAY

(edit- I should arrive by April 6-8. I'm stopping by my sister's in Denver; my mom's travelling out there, too.)

It's come to my attention over the last weeks that various folks still didn't know I was moving. I am, and in less than 48 hours I'll be trucking out cross-country with my crap in many boxes. I've gotten...

I should give you a call soonish. I bet you're probably here or pretty close to here by now. Unfortunately, I'm a bit poor at the moment and trying to force myself to limit my drinking for a while. Bleh. puke

More video rental:
I got what is called Imagine, but I see now it's just a documentary about Lennon, and NOT the actual Lennon/ Ono-directed films spoken of in the Cavett shows. Pity.
The one up-side was I got to see the Al Capp Incident, which John mentioned on the Cavett show. Al Capp is a nasty Canadian conservative curmudgeon who comes by one...

Reguarding your love, my sister is THIS guy:

an unconsionable ballbreaker.

Thank you. kiss

Yeah VA isn't too far...that's where my tattoo artist was living (working at Enigma in Richmond) when he did my left arm...like Clipse and shit yo...word as bond.

Thank you for pointing out the picture you liked most, HA! Me in the morning, pricelss, maybe? tongue

I just saw The Gossip (the greatest punk band of today since 1999) and the girls in the band were marveling over describing me as "The punk rock Bette Midler" so we're cool on that. At least I am recognizable. HA! I've gotten it for years and years...oh btw listen to The Gossip. Greatest church soul klash band in existence...energy not witnessed since the Nation of Ulysess--spelling, sorry. It's nice to know punx still exist.

Link me here to the LCC (or Lisa Fucking Carver, as I prefer) myspace, wtf!?!? Are you on there as well? Holla.

Yes, I am in Philly. Apparently I live in a really special area b/c I was in Brooklyn over the weekend using slang from here and people were amazed. I use a lot of local ghetto terms that seem perfectly natural for me and everyone...I believe with my mag I will have to write a glossary for the un-urban Phillies.

Aight. And we all have a little Party Boy in us. We all know our fortune. love

Thank you so much for coming. I feel really terrible that things were so hectic and we couldn't talk me. Good luck with Portland.

Rented some movies, although the best rental wasn't a movie at all.
Whisky- a Uruguayan film, actionless to a fault, really. One of the directors was saying, in the DVD interview, "I really like the work of people like," and I thought "He's gonna say Jarmusch," and the guy said, "Jim Jarmusch," and boy can you tell! I generally like Jarmusch, but I'd LOVE...

That soured me on Jarmusch early, until I got used to his style. I like him now, though I doubt I could ever sit all the way through Stranger Than Paradise.

Well, I don't know that I'll be renting any of those movies any time soon. Not with things like Mirrormask out there to rent...and buy!

I didn't update Sunday, although I went somewhere really GREAT, although I don't think I can do it justice in words and I took no pictures, but here goes.

The Smithsonian's Indian Museum is really great. Might be a bit misnamed in the "American Indian" title, unless you include THE AMERICAS, from Alaska to Antartica, and Pacific/ Caribbean islands nearby. At first, I thought the...

I ended up turning down the job, and am probably not working any time soon, so I'm free as a bird. Lemme know if you will have a chance to meet up or something. I've managed to get myself out of the house the past couple of days, so maybe we can meet up somewhere. Maybe I'll see you soon. kiss smile
illstabyou:
Thanks for reminding me of that burger and onion smell of White Castle. I'm going to have that smell stuck in my head all day now. Ick! smile

Hmm, haven't really updated much because no real THEME to go on. I'm moving soon though, about 3000 miles away... give or take. I have a couple places to stay temporarily looked up, so I'll see if that works out. If it does, I will see some of you I saw in December a lot more, see some of you for the first time, be...

I've got lots of books/music and DVDs coming out my freaking ears, so there's no shortage of things to do. But it's all those damned compelling people to play with out there that keeps drawing me out the door.

I think there was a game in the World Cup a few years back...the Women's World Cup, that is...where a powerhouse team like the US or Germany beat up on some 3rd world country to the tune of something like 16-1.

I'd consider that a blow-out in any sport.

I went to the Arlington Arts Center again a week ago, and took some pics. I really need to get a digi-camdamnera. Aside from the various features, the disposable one I used seems to have been... pointed a bit crooked, and it fish-eyed bows the pics so every painting has concave frames... and uhh they do NOT. They have straight frames... so I have to...

It's always seemed like a good idea to visit Martha's Vineyard but the opportunity has never presented itself. Also it seems rather too posh for my comfort. I like the suit holding the baby. But that's probably because I am obsessed with babies. *sigh*

Thanks for the concern and well-wishes. smile Yeah, the doctor was a douche. I'm still hurting, but hoping I'll look pitiful enough to get sent home today...

Jeez, I just had a real scare.

I was watching the John Cleese segment of this new Monty Python retrospective 6-part show on PBS. It started off by saying John Cleese is dead, and I watched the rest of the show in really a bit of a down mood. Why hadn't the news, or internet news, or any of my online friends told me??...

1-- 7 things to do before skull
1) familiar with the real, true love thing? Yeah, that.
2) find a job where I feel passably human 80% of the time
3) experience all the okay-to-great artistic works on the earth
4) edinburgh; Reykjavik; Tokyo; Ireland; anywhere Bambi n Kikka are at
5) care less what jerks think while minimizing my own jerk-ness, which leads to
