Be sure to keep water in the stand for the live tree. I remember on time in the early 80's my ex and me put up a fake tree and went to bed. it took about 5 minutes for our kitten to knock it down playing with the tinsel and ornaments. haha Now the extent of my Xmas decorating is hanging up an ornament given to me for my first Xmas by my grandmother. That was in 1960 and I still have it. She gave one to all of my brothers and sisters after we were born.

@copernicus_ We have a baby gate around both the trees to *try* to keep the cats out lol. That's really nice that you still have an ornament from the 1960s that was given to you by your grandmother. We have a few that have been passed down that are still in good shape....one from the 1940s that we know of! It's nice to bring back the memories, especially the good ones during this time of year.

@mugen1r oh I have had a lot of creepy things happen to me as well. My mom passed when I was 8 and I found her lying on the floor dead (it wasn't a pretty scene). It's burned in my mind and forever will be. But I agree with you that the dead are very much alive and watching us. I almost died when I was 14 and I swore (and still do) she visited me and told me it wasn't my time to go yet. I acknowledge she is still around after all these years, watching and taking care of me and my family (now mainly my son). Too many coincidences and weird things to happen to make me think otherwise. I have found the more you acknowledge their existence, the more attuned you become. Really weird stuff but I am definitely a believer! Sorry to hear about your loss when you were younger.

@butterflyandmarishka I feel ya I'm sorry too about your loss as well, damn I couldn't image horrifying was. Curious Did you ever find out why? That's just scary. Yeah they are alright this world strange place, that's crazy almost been down road when wacked my head real bad. Oh woah that's deep..similar what happened me but Keith calling out to me with my eyes wide open freaky as shit, I feel you I've randomly start talking my dad couple time even when drunk at my darkest times. I still feel like my dad & Keith watching but totally understand were coming from no doubt I feel same way too. That is true don't think could made anymore clear, yeah hear ya weird alright almost too weird..Oh I'm with ya on that, aw its ok its my past but something I'll never forget plus I my dad here with me his ashes which hoping toss in beach like he always wanted. 😊
