Hey SG Land!
I haven't been as active as I have wanted to be on here this past week, but I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This is part one out of two blogs that I am writing as I don't want to write a novel (which I have a tendency to do)! My Thanksgiving was pretty good and was a small Thanksgiving day lunch really. My husband did all the cooking (he likes to cook) and while I intended to make a cardamom pumpkin pie, he ended up making it (I was going to make it the night before but was so tired from working that day...it just wasn't happening...all in all though, it turned out pretty tasty!). We usually start the day off watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and await the arrival of Santa Claus. After the arrival of Santa, our Elf on The Shelf..whose name is Larry...comes out. Our son, who is 7, was so excited to see Larry (if you are planning on having kids or have very young kids, you must get the Elf on the Shelf! I personally want Krampus in the Corner hahahaha). The turkey turned out very well and the gravy for it was delicious....it was the best tasting turkey and gravy I have had in awhile!
The day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, I went shopping with some friends. I'm not one to get up really really early in the morning unless I have to and my other friends are about the same. To be honest, we went shopping around 9am and the crowds were not really that bad. I always go Black Friday shopping with nothing really in mind to buy for anyone...I just go along for the ride! I usually shop year round for Christmas because sometimes I come along something right then and there that I may not come across again...especially if it's a good deal!
What Thanksgiving Day/day after Thanksgiving traditions do you have?
If you have an Elf on The Shelf, what's their name and what are some creative places you have placed your elf or creative ideas you came up with?
