Wednesday's interview went okay, I guess. Of the 5 people I met with, I disliked 2 of them -- not a good start. I'm not sure why, but something about their personalities rubbed me the wrong way.

One guy avoided making eye contact -- that's a big turn-off for me. It wasn't in a rude way..like he was reading the paper...it was like he just...

*Grump* Had to wake up at 5:30am to get ready for a job interview today. I suppse I could have slept in, but I need to go through my morning ritual of surfing the net and drinking a pot of coffee. If I don't, bad things happen to nice people.

This job is not quite so interesting as the one I interviewed for last week,...

Today is a good day. Nothing all that special happened...I'm just in a good mood. It's pretty nice outside, but I think I'm gonna stay in. Though I'd love to fire up the BBQ.

Saw a headline today that "they" have discovered a new genus of cricket. It's impressive when they find a new species, but a whole genus? Awesome! I'm so sick of reading...

The Derby was great, but unfortunately I didn't win any money. Perhaps it has something to do with starting the mint juleps at 9 am ...

This is arguably the most important day of my life with respect to my career. By the end of today, I will either be employed with my dream job at a great company, or I....won't. eeek

I've met with this group before, and this is my final leg of the interview gauntlet. I'm running on fumes here...only got a few hours of sleep. My mind was...

Well...tension is building. I would like to prematurely start dancing around and cheering, but I don't want to jinx it. I think I did very well in the interviews. Hopefully they'll make an offer today! biggrin I have a phone interview today with another company too...just in case. Things seem to be coming together finally..just in the nick of time. blackeyed

I can't think of anything more satisfying than that first cup of coffee in the morning. Actually, wait...I can think of at least one thing better. biggrin I'm really sick of this Starbucks French Roast, but it's fairly economical. The Costco bags last a few weeks. Once I get my roaster from out of storage in MD, I'll get back to the fresh-roasted Sumatra and Mohka...

Well, swallowed my pride and set wheels in motion to start a temp gig for one of my former employers. I have some permanent opportunities brewing, but they won't put any offers on the table for at least 2 more weeks and one needs to eat! It just pains me to rewind my "career" 8+ years. Though there are some positives...I can re-acquaint myself with...

Watched "The Interpreter" last night. I dunno, wasn't bad, but left no lasting effects on me. Nice to see Sean Penn coming back.

Pretty much a lazy day so far. Weather has been GORGEOUS this past week...so nice after 2 straight months of rain. Already did my grocery shopping for the week...not much else to do but kick back on the porch with a beer....

Got wind of an interesting opportunity to consider yesterday and I've been thinking about it most of the night. Company in my industry is starting up a studio here in SF Bay and they're looking for someone to manage the whole operation. Can I do it? Sure...with time. Have I done it before? Hell no. Do the prospects intrigue me? Yeah! Do the prospects scare...

Thanks for the private message, your thoughts and your good wishes are much appreciated. Thanks especially for not being judgmental about my decision to strip in the first place -- I know a lot of people sort of understand that a girl has to pay her bills, but are a little high and mighty about stripping, even when I've just said I'm quitting! Which is funny as hell, considering this is a PORN site ...

Good luck losing the weight; it WILL make you feel better and healthier to be back at your normal weight, to eat right, and to exercise regularly.

Actually, I lived in Taiwan briefly and decided that Chinese and East Asia were not for me. I mastered Russian, but Chinese was beyond me and I really hated being stared at.

Got more news on my potential job. It's bittersweet. On one hand, they maintain I'm "definitely in the running", but then they say a second round of interviews won't be for another 3 weeks. I really can't wait that long, so it's either find some temp job that will barely pay the bills until I know for sure, or just take some random consultancy gig...

Yeah....well, I just found out that one of my old aquaintance's HIV is progressing into AIDS. We're no longer close, but at one point I considered him a friend. He's always lived on the edge, sexually, and he "came out" about 4 years ago. No one was surprised. It's just depressing to see him waste away.

I just try to remember the good times. But...

Sorry about your friend!

My cat does the same when she's trying to hunt a fly or something, but it's a kinda different sound.

Yeah they don't bother me, they're just super annoying mad
