Friday night on my way home from work I stopped by a bar in NJ to meet my sister and her husband for a drink. There were these two drunk guys sitting next to them talking at them-all drunk and sloppy. It turns out they lived across the street from James (my sister's husband) growing up. They've been drunk and high since they were like...

I was born and raised down in Alabama, on a farm way back up in the woods.
My papa was a great old man I can see him with a shovel in his hand. One day papa called me to his dyin bed
Put his hands on my shoulders And in tears he said
"Patches, I'm depending on you son, to pull the family through....

And, yes, I am the first non-hottie to comment on this journal entry. Clearly, it didn't need to be done!
You hear that all the time, don't you? I certainly have friends who say it. Every time someone's gerbil dies or someone misses getting crowned Miss Cumquat or whatever, people get all philosophical on you and tell you that "everything happens for a reason".
Well I'd like to extend that thinking a bit. Suppose everything DOES happen for a reason....

What's your favorite movie? Mine is "Saw III"-where George Bailey learns the true meaning of Christmas and his life's own worth when an angel shows him what a difference he's made in his little town.
Oh wait-that's not not "Saw III" is it? Shit! I sent my...

I'm kind of looking forward to gorging myself on all kinds of good vegan food this week. With the Tofurky I'm making homemade apple crisp (not your elementary school stick-to-the-bowl kind of apple crisp), pumpkin carob chip cupcakes with vegan buttercream frosting, and homemade biscuits. It's gonna be so good!!! I can't wait
I'm not looking forward to the eventual snow, especially because I'm getting used to another car. But, I've heard we might have a mild winter this year, so there is still hope.
If I don't talk to you before then, enjoy your Thanksgiving!!
I had no idea how right we'd get it.
I'm just waiting to see Macacawitz finally voted out. Keep counting, Virginia!!!
I did a student film with Clare Kramer
I'm trying my best to convey a benign yet distinct sense of envy. But, then, it seems as though you, sir, are very popular with the ladies so it might all just commonplace for you, my friend. ![]()
Are you referring to the excellent Goober Grape?

OK, so maybe it's not technically excellent, but I still have polished off a few jars in my life. Which, of course, might help to explain why *I* am not quite so popular with the ladies.
SG seems to have many excellent members in the metro New York area. I think that I should figure a way to get a 4- or 5-day trip back there in 2007 as opposed to the quick-hit visits I've been doing for years now.
perhaps I didn't make it clear that Clare Kramer barely spoke two words to me.
So she *did* say one word to you. Ahh, you da man!
I'm announcing my candidacy for Senate from the great state of NJ today. Please move here and vote for me before the polls close at 8PM.
Thanks.
I luv you
"ARE YOU ALIVE?"
"ARE YOU ALIVE?"
The voice was urgent. It was yelling at me wouldn't let me be. I'd hear it in bed at night listening to the radio low so that my parents couldn't hear. I'd hear it in the factory towns near where I grew up. I'd hear it in the voices of those people I watched trudge to jobs they hated...

Is that sentiment of his genuine? He couldn't be more of a-hole if he tried. A very high score indeed on the Unintentional Comedy Scale.
