Campbell is up on that Peter Straub level. Better than Barker, for sure; and Barker is so much better than King, it's not even funny. I like Campbell's short fiction better than his novels, though.

i love dillinger, and greg has proven to be an amazing addition to the band, the past few live performances i have seen have proven to me what a great artist he truly is! he definatly has the ape traits though hahaha, he flails around all crazy, but then again the rest of the band does as well, thats part of their live "magic" if you will. anyways just wanted to say a few words about the best band ever. dillinger forever muahaha.

You're welcome. And I'll take your word for it on The Lovers- all I know about sex is what I see (or have created for) in the movies. Btw, do you get to see advance screenings or go to Premieres? I thought that wasn't out till Friday? And yes, Bertolucci's amazing in regards to cinematography.

Yeah Caddyshack is a classic. I was just talking to Maddy about a couple of other favorites from back in the day- Spaceballs and The Naked Gun. I don't think about comedy enough. But I once wrote a screenplay, still unproduced (by me- I'd never sell a script I wrote), in that same vein called The Naked Fu, a Kung-Fu comedy- but not long after that, Cris Farley's karate movie came out (when he was still alive, obviously).

Have you ever seen that show Dinner For Five on the Independent Film Channel? It's a bunch of actors sitting around 'talking shop' over dinner- I like it alot. It's on every Monday at 9PM and 11PM, and repeats a few other times during the week. I saw this week's episode last night, it has Vince Vaughn being kind of a dick to some of his fellow actors- it was so much fun to watch, one of the best episodes of that show I've seen- catch it if you can...

Yeah, I haven't seen Made yet. For a filmmaker, I rarely even see films these days, ironically enough- at least not in the theater. I think I might pick up that David Cross DVD now, though. I'm not even in town now, but I try to make it to the Anjelica whenever I can- though it's been quite a while. Incidentally, regarding interview shows, I also like 'At The Anjelica' on IFC; and catch the current episode of 'Dinner For Five' when it replays this week, if you haven't already seen it. I'd like to see the one with Peter Falk, I don't think I saw that episode. Reminds me of my favorite movie of all time- Wings Of Desire. Also, regarding interviewers, my favorite is Charlie Rose- ever watch that? I'm not into politics, but he's fabulous with his entertainment guests. Someone else who's a great interviewer (but it's been several years since I've seen him do anything, since he mainly does sports personalities, and I'm not into sports at all, save for the very occasional Knicks game or Boxing match) is Bob Costas. Back when he was the original host (Carson Daly does it now- it's on real late at night- but it's an entirely different show) several years ago, Later With Bob Costas was by far the best interview show on television- just one-on-one, like Tom Snyder's old show, but much more intelligent (Tom Snyder's slot in late night television is now occupied by Craig Kilborn, whom I like too, but for completely different reasons). Anyway...

Didn't read the whole interview just the final Brando comments. I don't really keep up with the medium of cinema anymore (computer guy) but I do remember loving the hotel in Last Tango, Brando, that old prostitute, the girl , wedding, final incredible tango scene - roaring screaming subway. Last Tango in Paris. maybe it was. time will tell.

What's Earl Slick doing these days? I really only know him for his Bowie work (and a short-lived thing with 2/3 of the Stray Cats).
