so, here we are. i guess this being my first actual blog post i should say a few things about myself! ooh, don't we all love being the centre of attention.
first and foremost: i have a strange habit of not using any capitals (unless its a name/place/deserving of a capital) while writing anything online, though i am a bit of a grammar nazi. get used to it. there will be no "u shud go 2 the drive thu 2nite" 's here! side note, how irritating is it that there is "thru" written on signs now? fast food i can understand, but like, banks and stuff? EW.
anyways... now that i've scared off half the audience...
i'm native to the little hick town of Oak Ridges, squashed akwardly between Richmond Hill and Aurora, Ontario. sadly after spending all of my life there i moved to Etobicoke (aka Toronto) in the summer of 2005, and moved away to university about 2 weeks later. talk about unajusted. what i consider my home now is the city where i go to university, taking Global Studies and Political Science. i'm going into my third year in the fall. lets hope no creepy stalkers now decide to hunt me down. I HAVE AN ARMY!
well i'm back here in the city for the summer, and it's been kind of lame. not working at the moment, but training soon for a summer camp, which i'm excited for. i dont get to see my friends nearly enough with them being half an hour away and me not having any transportation, so a lot of my time is spent, well, here... on my computer, avoiding school work. how exciting! distance courses suck some major ass. especially when you're ridiculously behind, like myself. oops.
i'm a SG hopeful! my first shoot is in less than two weeks, with Shazzy! i'm super excited but also extremely nervous, but honestly i've been wanting to do something like this for years, and finally i've worked up the nerve. i feel like it's happening at a good time in my life, too. things have been difficult for the past few years and i'm working to make things better, so i feel like this will be a good... transition, in a way. refreshing, almost. even if the set doesn't get accepted, which i hope it will. the experience as a whole is what counts. you might be seeing more of me soon
heheheh, oh the cleverness of me.
well this is getting long and i'm running out of juice. the remaining pages of Morgenthau's "A Realist Theory of International Politics" are glaring at me menacingly from the bed...
bye for now
