Edited to add: I just went outside. It's 37 degrees and smells like snow. Three days ago, it was too hot and humid to sleep. I told my roommate, and he said, "I told you summer would be on a weekend this year."

As most of you have read by now, I will be moving back to my parents' for several months in the interest of seeing my mother get healthy again.

My parents live in a tiny town in northern Michigan, so in order to occupy my time I have decided to take up photography and writing again. The town shuts down at 9:00 PM, so I'll need something to do during the late-night hours. What better than a photojournal?

I will be taking photos of some of my favourite areas and writing stories about them. I plan to share memories along with scraps of life in a "northern town". I hope it will be a sufficient peek - or all-out viewing, for that matter - of the place and people who shaped me.

I will use this journal to let you know when I post updates to the page. I still plan to keep a daily log on SG. This is a separate project.
