I had to post again because this story is still pounding in my brain:
My friend, who keeps an online baby diary, just relayed a disturbing story to us.
A woman was flying from Amsterdam to New York and had her 19-month old daughter with her. Her daughter was crying, and the flight attendant asked the mother if she'd like to give her daughter some apple juice. The mother declined, but the flight attendant continued to persist. Finally, after the third time, the mother accepted.
When she received the glass of apple juice, she noticed that it was unusually foamy, tasted bitter, and had blue and white specks floating in it. She managed to smuggle a bit of it into her carry-on (presumably in an empty bottle or some such thing) and had it analyzed when she got back to the States.
The authorities told her the apple juice had been laced with Xanax. Xanax is an anti-depressant prescribed to adults and is NEVER to be given to someone under the age of eighteen. Needless to say, the flight attendant is in BIG trouble.
This shocks and depresses me. If it hadn't been for that mother's instincts and intelligence, her daughter could have died, or at least become gravely ill.

Oh, and here are Ten Things You May Not Have Known About Me.

This story sounds suspiciously like an urban legend. I sure hope it is, anyway.
