Okay... the bug is catching.
TEN THINGS YOU (PROBABLY) DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME:
10) That picture was taken in October 1994. I was performing in the Rocky Horror Picture Show (as Magenta) and continued to do so for almost two years. It was 35 degrees that night, but freezing was worth it. It was post-performance, and I was high on adrenalin.
9) I was adopted when I was two months old. I've been in contact with my biological mother and half sister for three years, but I have not met them yet. My half sister is ten years old.
8) My father is 2nd generation off-the-boat Polish. I was raised in a wonderful family with a strong sense of their heritage. I laughed all the way through "My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding" because my family is exactly like that - loud, boisterous, lots of hugs, they NEVER believe you when you say you aren't hungry, love to dance, etc.
7) My weight fluctuates all the time. It's quite frustrating. This has caused me to be VERY self-conscious.
6) My poetry used to be published in two journals - "License" and "The Dirty Word". Neither have websites because they are out of print.
5) I lost my virginity during the Rocky Horror Picture Show (see profile). I had just turned 17, and I was a senior in high school. He was Riff Raff and I was Magenta, ironically enough.
4) I was raised Catholic and was fairly devout until the age of sixteen. After researching other religions, working with a shaman, and basically growing up, I realized it wasn't right for me. (It took just under a year). My gut still clenches and my eyes still get misty when I hear a Gregorian chant or a particularly good version of a Christmas carol (Michael Crawford's "O Holy Night") -- I think the mysticism of the old religion still appeals to me. That, or I just appreciate damn good music, regardless of the genre.
3) I have a cat named Gomez. He's black and white, and his breed is mostly Rag Doll. This means he's a clingy slut (he's in my arms all the time), and he plays fetch! He's also very vocal and likes to give kisses and paw at my face.
2) My ex, Kevin, was a psycho rat bastard and abused me mentally and sexually for two years. I got a restraining order in February 1999. I still can't be pinned down or restrained. I don't like feeling like I'm out of control. A month ago, my friend wanted to demonstrate handcuffs he'd just bought. Just having them around my wrists, with all my friends around and Perfectly Safe, made me jumpy and teary. I had the same reaction when I got morphine last year -- I could feel it taking over my body, and the EMT had to hold me and reassure me that the numbing rushing feeling would pass quickly and that I'd feel normal Very Soon. Anesthesia, morphine, and other such drugs always put me in fight-or-flight mode, so I have to warn the doctors.
1) My favourite colour is purple. I looooooooooooove purple.

And she's sacarstic too!
If my bed was big enough I'd share it with my bike. Although it does have lots of pointy bits.
Rocky Horror Picture Show is probably one of the best movies ever. Never seen it done live though.
And Catholic school girls gone astray. . . *swoon*
Down with psycho rat bastards!
