I've had a good weekend so far.
My friend, Lydia, called me last night to ask if I wanted to go to 80's night with her and Scott. It ended up being me, Lydia, Scott, Aaron (the boy who gave me his number), and Betsy. We had a pretty good time, but the music sucked. They played bad re-mixes of some 80's and 90's stuff, and then it was modern dance and rap from 11:00 on.
We went to Steak 'n' Shake for food and dessert and had a grand time making obscure references. Scott and I left everyone in our dust.
Lydia and Aaron were wide awake, like me, so we sat in my bedroom and talked until 7:00 AM. We played with Gomez (my cat) and then got into my bed. We just cuddled and cat-napped...totally platonic. They both left around noon, and I slept for a few hours. I have a full-size bed, so three people in it makes it a bit difficult to sleep.
When I got up, I called Aaron to see what tonight's plan is and then found out my tax refund had been deposited into my bank account. No money worries for a few weeks. Yay! Aaron is pretty tired, but we might hang out and watch movies later. I see this as a purely friendship thing right now, which is cool since I'd rather have new friends than a boyfriend.
I called my parents and found out that my uncle is in remission after only TWO WEEKS.
