See...told you I got to be destructive all day.
The first step was to rip off the paneling. The next step (and most fun) was to SMASH SMASH SMASH the plaster off with a hammer. Chunks were flying everywhere, along with dust, which is why you see me in a hat, safety glasses, and a mask. Next came the tiny slats of wood, which I hacked/pulled/ripped off with the hammer. They were splintered and full of rusty nails, so I wore sturdy workman gloves.
The icky part was hauling pounds upon pounds of plaster and wood to the dumpster. Blecch.
My housemate was laughing because I kept yelling like a pirate when I got really into it. I got to do the whole thing myself since I was quite the little wrecking ball.
Fear my wrath.
