What is it with immature, jealous girls? There are times I'm so disgusted with my gender.
I've been friends with a guy for a few months. (No name, for his protection). We are Very Good Friends and absolutely nothing more. Period. If we were going to end up sucking, f*cking, or whatnot, we would have already (trust me).
Well, I mention this guy in my Live Journal frequently since we spend so much time together. I write things like, "Guy and I went to a movie last night, and it was lots of fun." or "Guy and I played with the train set in the attic all night because the bridge wouldn't stay together and the coal car kept derailing," You know, tame stuff like that.
So today, this friend of his who is convinced she's his girlfriend or something wrote an anonymous comment in my journal that smacked of twelve-year old love-chess-board tactics -- "You and Guy sound like you're getting close. You must be good for him. He's a great friend, isn't he?" and he got email that said, "We need to talk about this Sarah person."
Good god.
So he and I got our heads together (online) and discussed how to react to this. He's going to talk to her, as requested, and I put a Dramatis Personae in my journal. (For those of you who aren't big play readers, that's the list of characters at the beginning of a play, along with their descriptions). Under Guy' name, I wrote "Very good friend who owns Company Name Here, which I now work for. This means I spend a lot of time with him since my official title is Personal Assistant." Then, after the list of people I mention in my journal and their descriptions, I wrote a lengthy thing about how I like being alone and don't want a relationship and how jealous people suck. *sigh* I would address her directly, but she hasn't had the balls to address ME directly.
Besides that, it would be immature for Guy to send me her email address. The world just doesn't work like that when you aren't a teenager anymore.
I can't believe I wasted an hour on this nonsense when I could have been working. That little wench owes me $10.

this all sounds dramatic.
in her defense "the coal car kept derailing" sounds absolutely pornographic.
