Update:

This dress is pissing me OFF!!!

I hate satin. I hate the way it frays. I hate doing French seams to keep it from fraying apart.

This thing had better be stunning when I'm finished because I can't afford a new dress.

I'm going to go crazy before Friday/Saturday. I just know it. I've never been on a real date before. I'm serious. I honestly feel seventeen again.

I don't even know if this IS a real date.

Blargh.

The fabric has been cut. I'm in love with my new dressmaker shears. My roommate almost used them to open a package today, and her eyes got REALLY WIDE when I ran, Matrix-style, across the living room yelling, "Noooooooooooo..."

I told her I'd put a ribbon around the handle so she'd know which scissors were off-limits. Poor, scared thing.

I'm off to stitch (and swear). I don't have a satin foot for my machine, so this is going to require a lot of hand pressure and patience.

*waits for people to snicker and turn that into a sexual comment*
