One year from graduation and $25,000 in debt later, I realize what my dream career is and find out it doesn't require a college education.

HOWEVER!

I can still get a job doing what I like (library/editing/etc) and do wedding/party planning on the side until I build up a steady client base. All is not lost.

In fact, nothing was ever "lost". I paid for an education and got one.

After all these years of having an AWESOME time planning weddings and theme parties and having people gush over my creativity, I realized, "Wait. People PAY for people to do this for them."



I know it will require strong business skills, and I'm finally at a point in my life where I have the ability to "sell" without sounding like I'm selling or being nervous. I have one of those personalities and voices that could sell an ice cube to an Eskimo.

I've had management experience. I adored it. I hated the company, but I loved running a team.

It will also require a lot of homework and networking, not to mention research. THAT'S where my education comes in handy. I am the research/networking queen.

So much to do...
