Well, my computer is playing nicely with the new hard drive, but before I formatted it, I got the same "Inaccessible_boot_device" stop code. Once I formatted it with Windows, it booted up just fine.
Sooooo... I have to figure out if it's my hard drive or the BIOS. My roommate yelled some information as she was running out the door to work, and then silvercord tried to help as much as he could from three hours away, so yeah... I'm going to have to sit with my roommate and our computer guru friend this week and see if we can perform surgery.
The good news is that it doesn't look like it's a problem with my hard drive, which means I haven't lost anything. The last backup was around Thanksgiving, which is both good and bad. I need to make myself do one every week.
This also means I can work. I lost today, but I can make up for it during the week.
If it turns out to be something major, I will cry.
Well, I won't cry, but I'll be ticked. My budget is tight this semester because I want to move back to Ann Arbor later this summer. Having to purchase a new computer will mean a second job while I'm taking five classes. That's not impossible, but it's not desirable either.
It's times like these I force myself to sit down and think, "You have a home, you have food, you have a bed, you have a cute cat, you have good friends, you have a family who loves you, you have a job... shut up about your bad day and be thankful for all of that because some people have it much worse than you right now."

Even though you don't have it as rough as some, it would still suck to have to work 2 jobs and go to school at the same time.
