Hehehehehe...
My father woke me up to ask if I felt well enough to go to Christmas Mass. Um, no.
I waited until they left and then hopped online.
Ten minutes later, Dad came through the door and muttered something about forgetting the donation envelope. I had to close IE so quickly my head spun. I was on SG, of course.
Once he left, and I was sure he was gone for good, I hopped back on SG. Now I'm sitting here, skipping Mass, wearing pajamas, eating homemade German Chocolate Cake, drinking punch spiked with Bacardi, and looking at Cherry's new set.
Merry Christmas, indeed.
We always open our gifts on Christmas Eve since my brother and his wife celebrate Christmas Day with her family. The inventory:
From parents: A small suitcase with handle and wheels, and a small carry-on that slides over the handle (perfect for upcoming airport excursions), purple candles and candleholders, a cute fairy statue (she has a purple dress!), towels, film, cooking utensils, their set of knives (they got a new one from my brother), and a set of TV tray tables with a rack.
From brother and sister-in-law: A fucking DVD PLAYER, a black choker with a cool silver star pendant, and another black choker with a silver/onyx/marcosite pendant.
We all went a little crazy, obviously.
The past couple of years had been hard on everybody, though, since Mum, Adam, and I all have/had jobs that were affected by 9/11. It was kind of nice to up the Christmas budget a little since my family deserves so much, and they all echoed my thoughts. Apparently, Mum's been dying to give me new luggage since 1999.
Everyone loved what I got for them. Yay!
And I still have to give silvercord his gifts. I can't wait to watch him open them.
I expect no more trips to the hospital, since my parents won't let me do a damn thing. It's pretty annoying, but I know they're worried about me. I would leave today or tomorrow if I didn't have plans to hang out with Chris* this weekend. I'm hoping the 2-3 days I'm home before the New Year's adventure will be enough to make my lungs happy.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll be back online Sunday.
