Contrary to popular, testosterone-driven belief, just because I have been single for...oh...ABOUT A WEEK... that does not mean I'm looking for a replacement.
In fact, being single is the best thing right now, so while it is fun to flirt and I do enjoy compliments, do not get any ideas into your heads.
I have had more propositions this week alone than I have in the past several months (granted, I was with Ken, but still), and it's really getting on my nerves.
Where were all of you when I was with him? Is it a crime to make new friends when someone is in a relationship? Did it occur to you that I might've wanted new friends? Maybe it did, but because I couldn't fuck you, it wasn't worth it?
Screw that.
To those boys who remained my friends and/or became new friends while I was with Ken:
To those boys who can't wait to "distract" me or "replace him" or "fuck him out of my system": FUCK YOU.
To those who were thinking of becoming my friend but are now scared of me: I guess you weren't cut out for it anyway.
To the girls: You get to love me, as usual. You all rock.
Addendum: If you really do want me to respect you, don't be a Worshipper. Meaning, don't sit there and compliment me over and over and over and over until it's the focal point of our conversation.
I mean, really. I have a brain in my head. I'm intelligent. I can talk about the passion of literature, the beauty of Mozart, the politics in Britain, and the best way to prepare a souffle, so the LAST thing I want to do is have someone basically sitting across the table from me (or in an IM, as it were) looking at me with puppy-dog eyes, breathing sighs, and planning our children's names.
Impress me. Outwit me. Flirt with me. Respect me. Try to outdo me in conversation. DO NOT put me on a freakin' pedestal.
If you do, I'll fall on your head, and nobody wants a concussion, now do they?
