I've had an obsession with the Smiths today. I think I've listened to "Rush and a Push" at least ten times. I'm sure it's the weather. It's cold and grey, and it's getting dark so early now.
I've all sorts of things I could do tonight. Aristocles and I may get together and watch a movie, I could call my friend Lydia and head to the pub, or I could just stay home and read my new book. The first and last option are the most tempting since I don't really feel like going out drinking. I'm still so tired.
A week on the Celexa has had a major effect already. My appetite is under control, I'm sleeping a little better, I don't have the consistent gloom-and-doom feeling, and my mind isn't "looping" like it used to (focusing on one depressing "what-if" thought and then repeating it for hours or even days). They say it takes about two weeks to reach full effect, so it's kind of neat that everything will reach a balance point. It's making me feel a bit stoned, so I take it at night before bed.
I tried to quit caffeine (namely soda) cold turkey, but that resulted in a whopping two-day headache. When I went in for my weekly checkup, the doctor suggested I cut back gradually. I had some cocoa earlier, and lo and behold, no more headache.
She said cutting out soda is best and that having a bit of caffeine through tea or whatever should still be fine. Yay.
I likes me tay.

Is Calexa an anti-depressant. I probably need something like that. I've never heard the expression "looping" but I know exactly how if feels. But I can't bring myself to accept the diagnosis of modern psychology that they know how I should be.
