I just got back from my brother and sister-in-law's house. We were jumping on the trampoline for quite some time. I perfected switching from knees to feet to knees again. WOW...what a workout.
Adam told me that fifteen minutes of serious trampoline work is as good as running one mile, but you don't ruin your joints. I can believe it. I was sucking on my inhaler and enjoying the endorphin buzz.
After dinner, Katie and I did "counter-bouncing", where you bounce opposite of each other to see how high you can get. Yeah. That's safe.
I was amused when I read the safety tag on the trampoline: Only ONE person bouncing at a time. Mature, intelligent supervision is required. Do NOT jump higher than six inches.
Whatever.
I also got to play my piano again. I was really upset when I first sat down because I couldn't play the simplest song, but I was banging out "Fur Elise" fifteen minutes later. I was so scared that I wouldn't be able to play after six years of virtually nothing, but it was better than hopping back onto a bike. I went from missing keys to hitting them without consciously reaching for them.
God, that felt good. It was so addictive, too. I need to get my hands on a piano. My friend said I could have his if I could get it from Ann Arbor to Kalamazoo. Anyone have a truck?
