I talked to my friends about Gomez, and they said he's doing really well and enjoying his (temporary) new home.
I heard from my senior Homecoming date, who I haven't seen in ten years. He's doing really well, which makes me extremely happy. Last I'd heard, he was in a homeless shelter, but now he's in college and working full-time!
I'm eternally grateful to a mutual acquaintance who passed my email address to him.
I heard from yet another friend, who I haven't seen in three years. He moved back to Michigan a couple weeks ago and wants to see me before I go back to K-Zoo. The other guy does too, so I'm going to take a small detour so I can visit both of them. Instead of driving from Gaylord to Kalamazoo, I'll be driving directly south to Mt. Pleasant and then continuing to an itty bitty town south of Battle Creek. For those of you that know Michigan geography, you can agree it's not a huge detour.
After all of that, I made my sister-in-law and mum's favourite cuppiecakes. When Mum got home, she told me Dad would be working Very Late, so it was girls' night. We got fast food, rented movies, and ate cuppiecakes.
My sister-in-law ended up being alone for the evening since my brother's business trip got held over one day, so she came over with yet another movie. We watched "Red Dragon" and "Don't Say a Word". I hadn't seen either, and I was in forensic psychiatrist orgasmic heaven. My mum always gets so mad because I figure things out ahead of time.
I wrapped some cuppiecakes up for Katie, and then she left. Now I'm looking at grad schools in California.
Life is good.
P.S. I don't normally call them cuppiecakes, but I revert to old habits when I visit my parents' for any length of time. Beef Stroganoff becomes "Ooey Gooey" because we couldn't pronounce "beef stroganoff" when we were little. My mum STILL calls it that.

So I actually figured out the cam bidness. While it may look retarded because the camera's set up on the other side of the room, the payoff will be that it can get a room full of people and it will be cool when I have people over tonight... so if you're online around then you can check in on SGLA hahahahahaha
I'm using the shareware webcam32 thing. I'd buy the legit version, but I'm not sure I want to buy the windows program, I think longterm I want to do a Mac camera. We'll see how that works out.
