What a lovely Saturday...
A cool breeze is blowing through my room, and I've spent the day cleaning and doing laundry. The sun is shining, but it isn't too hot, and the humidity is tolerable. I hope it rains later. Rain always adds a fresh smell to everything, and our yard is such a vibrant shade of green right now.
Jessica and I made beef and cheddar melts with just a touch of onion seasoning, and then we planted a bunch of flowers in the backyard. We have plans to landscape with rocks and more flowers as soon as we're both fully recovered from our colds.
I treated myself to some new candleholders and incense yesterday. I made a little extra money last quarter, and I hadn't purchased anything for myself in a couple of months. I also got a 3-D duckie cake pan for Duck's birthday. I'm going to make a chocolate sheet cake and decorate it like a marsh, and then I'm going to make a yellow cake in the duck pan. The duck will sit on top of the marsh cake. It's a pretty big duck, so it will be amusing. I got a special frosting tip for the grasses, and Jessica came up with a cool idea for the cattails.
I always feel so much better when I clean and do laundry. It's like a fresh start, and I love having everything organized. If my room is messy, my LIFE feels messy.
I work from home, so it's ultra-important to keep things in order.
We watched "Dark City" last night, and we're going to watch "Legend" tonight. There's something so comfortable about snuggling up on our huge couch with blankets, pillows, snacks, drinks, and good movies.

im just about to start my cleaning/laundry cycle right now. last night i watched five easy peices and tonight im gonna watch chinatown.
Nice week-end so far, but very shitty weather (UK, remember...). Very drunk yesterday with 2 good friends, nice friday night after an awful day at work. Went to the Virgin today and got 5 cool CDs (promotion thing). Still have to listen to Nick Cave's Nocturama, yay !
Got a date tomorrow evening, a real one, this is weird I'm not used to that anymore. Always meeting people at parties in general...

PS: Might watch "Mystery Train" tonight, it's a rad film. "Dark City" is excellent the first time you watch it. Thought the idea behind the story was very very good.
