I just realized yesterday was my one-year-on-SG anniversary. Where the FUCK did that year go?

I blame you people.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've wanted pierced nipples for about a year now, but I've never been able to decide what kind of bars/rings/spirals I want, how I want them positioned, and so on. I'm really picky. tongue
Then, today, I saw this picture, and I KNEW this is what...
It's snowing!!! We're supposed to have a foot by midnight, and the weather map shows a TON coming over Lake Michigan, which means even more throughout the night. biggrin
My roommate and I finished putting the entertainment center together, put everything in it, hauled stuff down to the basement, hauled stuff to the trash, cleaned, washed, vacuumed, and so on. It feels great to have a...
Oooh ohh! I wanna see a photo of your room after you decorate it! I love interiors! I'll be posting some of my house soon on my pics. Viva las chickas!
I want to go to the snow. I miss Idaho for it's winters, and taking a drive to the mountains is never the same as waking up to freshly fallen snow just outside your window.
I need a kick in the ass to get my house clean again. It's just kinda hard to do it all yourself. I need to not be on SG all the damn time too, heh.
Yay for business.
So sleepy... I'll finish putting the damn thing together tomorrow.
My roommate made some body oil for herself. It only has a tiny bit of patchouli in it, but that's all I can smell. The entire house smells like it, and I feel like I'm in the dorms again. puke
I wear a bit of vanilla every day, but it's not overpowering like that stuff. Blecch.
I've spent the better part of four hours putting an entertainment center together. The entire show was on webcam for your amusement.
i should have something really witty to say here. b/c I know theres just a whole world of comments that have opened up by that statement. But I am way the hell too tired to figure out what to say.
I feel so useless. it's like a nun went into my head and cleaned out all the dirty thoughts. nuns can do that you know. what with their special powers and all... flying around the city like they own the place. oh wait I'm thinking of Mary Poppins.
That's it, I'm going to bed now.
okay how about this:
How can I help?
...okay I really am going to bed now, I think.
I don't know if you have a piercer you always go to, but if not, Diana at New Addiction did my nipples, and she is really gentle and fun. Plus its only $50 including the jewelry which is pretty good around here- TOTALLY recomend it! smile
*screams like a drag queen*
OH MY GOD!!!
I just found out David Bowie is playing in Detroit on MY BIRTHDAY.
Unfortunately, I already have a party planned, and tickets are expensive. frown
He's going to be in Chicago the next weekend, so I checked on tickets, and again... $60 for balcony. I don't think so.
How cool would it have been to have seen him...
that would have been wicked cool. 60 bucks is just a tad steep
I have another pic of the spider web outfit, that I took after coming home from the club tonight. I'll be sure to upload it at some point.
so if you think the "regular" shot of me was odd, you should see me when I'm at work at this time of the year. all bundled up, fleece face mask, gloves, tool belt on. The only thing that you could probably distinguish at that point is that usually as my outer layer I have my SG hoodie on...
deadlyeye:
I would make an effort to see Bowie. Alas, he would never come to a shit-hole like Memphis, Im sure.
I would rob little old ladies to get money for a ticket to see him.
I've been dancing around to Apoptygma Berzerk's "Starsign" for about twelve hours now. I LOVE this song, and it's perfect for dancing. It makes me feel alive and happy and free-spirited.
I can't wait to go to City Club for my birthday. biggrin
School starts Monday, and I don't have my books yet because my fuck-ass bank put a six-day hold on my financial aid check....
I've just realized how dependent my brain is on this medication, and that makes me very very sad. frown
I suppose I'd feel differently if I was, say, a diabetic dependent on insulin. Nobody would look down on me for that.
But to have brain chemistry that does not allow seratonin to flow properly means that I have to take anti-depressants, and I'm ashamed to admit...
Taking medications every day to be "normal" sucks, which is why I quit taking them and struggle daily to be "normal" on my own. Take your pick, it's one way or the other.
Don't feel alone and don't feel ashamed. 9.5% of the adult population in the US suffers from clinical depression. 16% of the US population will suffer depression severe enough to warrant treatment at some point in their lives. 13.3% of the 18-54 population in the US suffers from an anxiety disorder. You are not alone.
To what Elisabeth said about mental health insurance parity...first you have to convince the republicans and business owners that it is not going to send insurance costs skyrocketing, as if they're not high enough already. For a non manufacturing industry chances are the number one expense is employee health benefits. Employers do not want to spend any more on insurance and unless they can be convinced otherwise then mental health parity is a long way off...an unfortunate event for everyone.
Happy New Year kiss
I'm on a crazy combo of anti-depressants! I have been for years, and I pretty much think I always will be, but at this point I'm not too worried about it- I'm a million times better than when I cried myself to sleep every night and wore long sleeves all summer to cover my pathetic attempts at a slit wrist. It gets better smile And you deserve the best! biggrin
