So, I had heard about this movie before, but never had a chance to watch it. But as luck would have it, it was on sale on Google play this weekend, so I picked it up for 5 bucks. When the movie first started, I slowly began to wonder if I had made a mistake. I mean, I had heard it was slow paced, but...

Okay, I just got another batch of query letters sent thanks to my dad's work computer. And now I'm stressed out and feel like I'm going to puke. It happens every time, and I don't see it getting any better in the near future. But hey, at least I have another batch of rejections to look forward to. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going...

So, a couple days ago, I posted a blog saying that I was going to try to send out more query letters to try to get representation for my novel. Because I decided that it wasn't time to give up on the dream of being published.

I have spent the last several days fighting with my laptop, which at around 13 years old, is a...

Could you use the computers at the library?
wolfwood1203:
@libris I'm sure I'll figure something out sooner or later. My dad might have a computer he uses for work that I can borrow. But that'll only be every once in a while.

So, I've been cooking for me and my dad since I got back. Today he told me that he's eating better than he has in 25 years. Not only is that one of the first times he's said he liked my cooking, but it's honestly one of the nicest things anyone's said about my cooking.

The bandana is necessary, I sweat like crazy, especially cooking.

As a wise woman once said, "Can you speak up? It's hard to hear you with that pity dick in your mouth." -Blind Al

I've been wallowing in self pity and depression for a while now. And I caught myself thinking earlier that I used to have dreams and aspirations. Used to. Past tense. What the fuck happened to me? I don't know when I...

Always sad to hear about struggles, but I am happy to see that you are picking up something you enjoy to help combat those struggles. I hope it helps <3
wolfwood1203:
@_maxx_ Thank you, I appreciate that.

For various reasons, I've been kind of stuck at home these last couple of months. Not including the trip to Dallas where I was stuck in my brother's home for a week watching kids. Circumstances have made it so that, not only am I living at home again after a year in Virginia, but it's somehow just me and my dad. My brother moved, taking...

@libris I'm glad I got it working too. Honestly, I thought I was going to brick it... It's definitely strange being in a big empty house after it used to be filled to the brim with people. There were 10 of us here at one point.

Wow, 10?!  That is a lot of people!

This depression is a strange thing to deal with. Most of my days, I don't feel like doing anything. Not even watching tv, or playing video games, things like that. But then there are weird days like today, where I feel something like motivation. It's not quite there, I'm not quite feeling the urge to be proactive, but it's... it's the ghost of motivation haunting...

Hey man.  I have had anxiety for as long as I can remember and depression for the last 18 years (at least).  These videos (and more), have helped me deal with life: "We Are All One and Our Reality Is An Illusion" https://youtu.be/dmuEZKn47sA ; Alan Watts, "It's Just a Show" https://youtu.be/jldHW2xKBao ; "The Tao of Philosophy..." https://youtu.be/bE6mRYypmJY .
wolfwood1203:
@hughjanus Thanks, I'll check those out. I appreciate the thought, I really do.

As I sit here watching sharknado 6, I can't help but wonder... what am I doing with my life? To make things worse, I had nothing else to do today, so I've been sitting through a marathon of these horrible movies. I... I kind of really hate myself right now.

@felicity So, I was just browsing netflix. It would seem that the first 5 are available there if you really want to watch.

Okay, I guess it's time to do this again. Last time, I explained how I started writing. More or less. So, the next step is to start talking about works in progress.

After my earlier attempts at writing, most of which were promptly deleted, I finally started working on a story that I actually liked enough to not delete it. It's... I'm not entirely sure...

What about self publishing?

@libris I'd need to do research, and I still need to get some editing done, but I've thought about it.

Okay, so today a friend of mine invited me to his place for a cookout, which is always a good time, so I went. After we ate, his cousin decided we should go to the bar, so I barely got home at about 2:30.

Now, the moment I walked through the door, I heard my cat meowing like crazy. I figured he was just angry...

Okay, I'm going to try to start blogging more about my writing. So, the first logical step is to tell you a bit about how I got started. (I really wish I had a working computer for this instead of having to do it on my phone...)

First of all, I never even thought about writing when I was younger. I know some people can...

Lol, oh grad school!  Nothing but reading and writing for your chosen subject for years.  I actually enjoyed it though.  You know I'm interested in your writing!  Keep on blogging!
wolfwood1203:
@libris Yeah, grad school is the reason I stopped doing a lot of things. But despite the difficulties, I enjoyed it too.

God, I wish I could get rid of this depression. I haven't felt motivated to do anything the last couple days. Which of course means no writing. I don't even feel like writing this blog. Or watching tv, or playing video games, or anything really. I just want to curl up and die. Or sleep for a week. Whichever.
