Well thank gods the teeth are out. I've been a tad concerned about your torture on this. Oh, to help the areas heal a bit faster, soak teabags in water and pack them back there for a short time (say 30 minutes), then remove. Repeat a few times a day. THe tanic acid really speeds the healing and does not cause any infections. Sure, it sounds horrible, but it really works. And if you get a tea flavor you like, it helps.

The party sounds great. So do you also have another party in the summer to celebrate your birthday? Karen's is in January and it's always too cold to go outside to do anything, so we have another party later on for her also. And it gets her two parties for one event. Sweet!
I say give him a chance. I know from experience that you can definitely get so wrapped up in work, especially if you have a goal in mind, that all else can fall to the roadside as you try to reach this goal. And work can really suck the life out of a person so all he might have really done is go home and pass out at the end of each day. So yeah, go for it and see where it leads. But, keep your eyes open and see if you observe any signs of it being a lie. Sure, he really didn't promise you anything, but a small lie now shows he could have the potential for much larger lies later. In all things I advise caustion and to protect your heart first. But yeah, see where it goes. Maybe later you can get him to explain all about his business idea (if you haven't heard it already) and offer advice or some limited help (at first). Good luck with this. And take care of yourself first.

I looked like a chipmunk for a couple of weeks.
I would say - cut him some slack this once. After that, if you still like him, find a way to let him know he needs to communicate with you. That's what friends do, especially new ones.
