Go to CaryTown (not sure how it's supposed to spelled or whatever)... LittleFierceOne took me there when we went up to Richmond to visit his family. It's a cute little stretch of road that has shops and such. Like a typical college-town main drag, really... record store, restaurants, pretty houses. Not sure what they have that's veggie, as we didn't eat while we were there, but he described it as the hippiest part of Richmond (which is mostly sorostitute and frat-tastic), so I'm guessing they would probably have some veggie options.

Yeah the forecasters kept talking about all this nasty winter weather we were going to git. Nada, nothing, zip, zilch. We maybe got a half an hour of mixed precipitation. It was the biggest disappointment.

Upper SC was gripped with a paralysing winter storm - 3/8ths of an inch (!) All the silly schools shut down.

As for school, I'm totally busting my ass, it's just easier - comes more naturally. Hopefully this semester will go quickly enough that you don't have to suffer through for long, but slow enough that you have time to do it all.

I'm sorry about your grandpa. I'm afraid of alzheimers later in life since it runs in one side of my family. **shrug** Oh well, it will be as it is. But I do know how hard it is to go and see him and have him a shadow of what he used to be. **HUGS**

Yeah, it's a lot of work, but it's all related, somewhat. One of the good things about the school of ed is that everyone takes the same classes - and all the classes try to work together with assignments. So, with some things, you're doing one big project (like a unit I have to plan and teach) that fulfills requirements for three classes. But I still have to write up reports for all three classes (beats having to plan and teach three separate lessons).

It's still all very time-consuming. Hell, just putting all the assignments into iCal is taking several days. Then I actually get to start doing them. Haha...

Sorry about your keyboard. Luckily, I broke the ctrl key off my old laptop, and there are two of those (one of which I never use), so I just moved the unbroken one. I have no idea how to take keys off of my MacBook, though - I'd probably break them trying.

Hopefully, you'll figure out your getting to class thing. Try talking to your professor in the second class - a lot of the time they'll understand if you have a class across campus before theirs, and will be more understanding when you're five minutes late every day. Or talk to the TA. Either one. Good luck! Maybe we can bitch and support each other in the "holy crap this is a lot of stuff to do in four months" department.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss. My grandmother died two years ago. It was very hard and I miss her terribly. I do know she is in a better place and not in pain any more. Your Grandmother loved you very much and you do not need to feel bad for not being with her when she passed.
